Guided by a flash of magical insight, you make one attack with the weapon used in the spell’s casting. The attack uses your spellcasting ability for the attack and damage rolls instead of using Strength or Dexterity. If the attack deals damage, it can be Radiant damage or the weapon’s normal damage type (your choice).
Cantrip Upgrade. Whether you deal Radiant damage or the weapon’s normal damage type, the attack deals extra Radiant damage when you reach levels 5 (1d6), 11 (2d6), and 17 (3d6).
The way D&D beyond does the damage with this spell adds the modifier to the melee attack and the spell damage. my attack is doing 1d10+5 And 1d6+5 from true strike. I don't think it should be adding the plus five twice or Is that correct?
For my character, I made a custom attack for the weapon I use with True Strike in the dndbeyond character sheet that lives there in addition to the plain raw weapon, and then named it True Strike (weapon name).

This is what I usually do too. It does have a limitation: since D&D Beyond's rollable dice button things can only support one type of die at a time, once you reach level 5 the custom action method will only be able to show the correct damage roll if you're using a weapon with a d6 damage die.
My Bard uses this spell with a quarterstaff, which she's usually using two-handed, so the damage roll ends up being 1d8 + 1d6 + 4. I've tried a variety of ways of implementing that on D&D Beyond but I eventually gave up and just use physical dice for it.
You can subtract your bonus in Customize. Go to your weapon and select Customize, then put a negative amount = to stat bonus in the Damage Bonus field.
This way clicking True Strike from that weapon will only add your bonus once (on the true strike spell, and net out to zero bonus for the weapon)

I do not know what you are doing differently from me, but using chrome, on a Mac, I cannot make that number negative. Once i click into it, I can't even make it zero.

EDIT: this might be a Beyond20 issue
D&D Beyond does not have support for True Strike damage calculations at all. If you're using Beyond20, the issue definitely lies there.
But you're correct that the ability modifier should not be added twice in this scenario.
