It would probably be a good idea to advertise that you would take corpses off people's hands. Put up some flyers like "Do you have corpses? I won't ask how you got them, BRING THEM TO ME! I'll get rid of them!" You technically can't get arrested because it isn't like YOU committed the murder.
That is probably the best way to be constantly supplied as a necromancer: CORPSE WHEELBARROW. Maybe you could pull a 'Bring out your dead!' Wherever you are if there's any illness.
If'n ye have enough geld for it, start an arena with some cash prizes. Sub-contract to breed Medusas to use in the arena. Contract clause for participating in the Games includes: "if you get turned to stone your corpse belongs to the arena owner if not claimed within 24 hours after being turned to stone." Then Stone to Flesh spell on repeat. Profit.
Currently having this debate in multiple Discord servers, to see if Fabricate can turn pig corpses into humanoid ones, the route is always this: "You can't cast Fabricate on creatures" then someone says "Corpses are objects", then they reply "Corpses aren't raw materials", which I don't think it's fair, considering a raw material being any object coming from a natural source (be it mineral, plant, or animal). By that logic, wool or cotton ain't a raw resource.
I think they should allow Fabricate to turn corpses into humanoid ones, a more ethical way to practice necromancy (I'll ask them to have proficiency in Medicine at the very least).

I'd say fabricate works on corpses, but it doesn't change the corpse's properties, only shape. Like you can dye water to make it look like another liquid, but it doesn't have that liquid's properties. You can shape metal to look like a plant, but it is still metal.

Grew outta my cringe roleplay account arc :P

I literally want to make a necromancer character who walks around with a cart of corpses. Acquired through various means, of course.

I don't like rp-heavy games, I LOVE them.

Oh, that's genius. You could also hang around outside any bar, after a rowdy night. Pretty likely you'd find some corpses.

Should corpses be considered a raw resource?
