Just playing around with an idea in my head, and I am wondering what different class/race abilities or feats allow you to reroll the damage dice for spells.
The only one I can think of is the Flames of Phlegethos racial feat for Tieflings that lets you reroll 1s on damage die for fire spells.
Savage Attacker is another feat example, but that only works for melee weapon attacks, not spells.
The final thing I can think of is a Tempest Cleric's channel divinity that lets you deal max damage for a spell dealing lightning or thunder damage. This is good, but not exactly what I am looking for, as it simply deals max damage rather than rerolling the dice.
Why is rerolling the dice so important, you might ask? Well, the entire thing I am thinking about is a way to cheese the Chaos Bolt spell into giving me a higher chance of the spell jumping to another target (rolling two of the same number on the damage die). Flames of Phlegethos, for example, would increase the odds ever so slightly BUT only if I already roll a 3 on one die so that the spell deals fire damage in the first place.
So, yeah, wondering if there are any other similar abilities I missed

Elemental Adept (Cold). It has a very specific case where it's beneficial for Chaos Bolt.
If you roll a 2 and a 1 on the d8's - you can choose Chaos Bolt to do Cold damage (because of the 2) which allows you to treat the roll of the 1 as a 2 - which makes them both the same and it will jump.
It's a very minor benefit - changing the odds of a jump from 8 in 64 to 10 in 64.
