Are there any half-gods in the standard D&D world? You know, beings that have both divine and mortal parentage. I was thinking about creating a celestial warlock and have their patron be an indirect ancestor of theirs, the older sibling of their, great-great-great-and-so-on-great-grandfather, who just so happened to be an immoral half-god who has a certain fondness for the members of his family. Only question is if that's even a thing in official D&D?
Thanks for taking your time to read and I wish all of you a great day.
If "evil gods" count (and evil cultists tend to call them gods), Tieflings pop up when there's Infernal heritage buried somewhere in the bloodlines, even distant and ancient bloodlines.

Human. Male. Possibly. Don't be a divider. My characters' backgrounds are written like instruction manuals rather than stories. My opinion and preferences don't mean you're wrong. I am 99.7603% convinced that the digital dice are messing with me. I roll high when nobody's looking and low when anyone else can see.🎲 “It's a bit early to be thinking about an epitaph. No?” will be my epitaph.
Just to clarify, since i'm not sure that came across clearly, while my guy is related to a half-god, they don't have any divine/celestial blood themselves. He is a decent of the half-gods younger sibling, who had a different parent and thus no divine heritage themselves.
Still their uncle is rather fond of his sibling's family and thus used part of his divine abilities to bless them with the abillty to draw on part of his own power.
Ohhh...Its called playing a human and what your looking for is called nepotism.
Well, yeah. I've never claimed I'd wanted to play anything more than a human. And I wouldn't really call it nepotism, that would mean tha my character received an unfair advantage through their pact but honestly they aren't really any more powerful than any other creature working for or with any powerfull creature, but I can defenietly see the paralells.
There is a canon 5e stat block for a half-god. Laeral Silverhand in Dragon Heist is the literal daughter of the goddess of magic.
(Aasimar are a great race if you want to play as one.)
Also, Empyreans exist in the Monster Manual, they are also the children of gods.
Really? I'm not too well versed in the lore, but I don't think Laeral was Mystra's daughter. I seem to remember that she was one of her chosen, which gave her special powers, but she didn't share a bloodline with the goddess as far as I remember.
Also, yeah, I know, but I'm not quiet sure if empyreans are actually half-gods. The book mentions they are children of gods, but it doesn't specify if it's the child of a god and a mortal or between two gods. The only named empyrean I could find was the daughter of two deities, so not quiet what I'm looking for.
Here's proof that Laeral is actually a demigod: Seven Sisters
Laeral is the daughter of Mystra, and a Chosen of Mystra as well.
(Empyreans probably are the children of 2 gods, or a god and a titan, and stuff like that, but they could also be used as an "ascended" demigod. Like, in Greek Myths where a demigod becomes a god-like entity, like Hercules.)

It is official. The DMG has a paragraph about gods divine beings. Including half god's.

In some way you could make an arguement that Aasimar fall into that category.
A Aasimar celestial warlock seems fitting.
Or divine soul sorcerer. That would probably work better, considering that it is to do with ancestors.

You could do variant human add magic initiate and flavor it as something else. A sort of within RAW homebrew.
