So my friend wants to run a mini campaign where we all are level 20 with 5 more levels into another class, equaling lvl 25 in total. What would you guys build if you could use all the source material?
Im thinking I’m going to build a warlock (20) / sorcerer (5) but I wonder what creative things you guys could come up with

All source material? How are Wizards house-ruled, in terms of figuring out what spells they picked up in 25 levels of adventuring?
Not 100% sure of which Ravnica background to take, but probably Dimir.
Mark of Healing Halfling Warlock (Genie) (Dao) 17 / Sorcerer (Divine Soul or Aberrant Mind) 3 / Wizard (Diviner) 5, with the Metamagic Adept feat.
This gets you the most powerful magical tricks I know of, all at once:
Your Simulacrum constructs are without number - the number you have grows exponentially, because every day, every Simulacrum you have can make a Simulacrum, meaning your total doubles every day (negligibly faster if you also make one every day). They do this with their L9 Mystic Arcanum, Wish, which comes back on a long rest, as it isn't a spell slot.
Each Simulacrum regenerates to 5 sorcery points on a long rest, letting them grant themselves an L3 spell slot. They have access to two level 3 spells a day this way: one they genuinely cast, which will be a prepared wizard spell, and one from Limited Wish or Wish, which will be Glyph of Warding, allowing each one to embed within its lamp as many L3- wizard buffs as it likes for triggering later. After building this, they have 5 points for whatever, which is probably applying metamagic to a cantrip. Divine Soul gets them access to cleric cantrips and Aberrant Mind is an additional cantrip known, so either one.
Swapping between Limited Wish and Wish slows down your Simulacrum propagation rate, but unless the campaign goes in a very odd direction, your exact rate doesn't matter. You can just assume you have an infinite number of Simulacra, each of which has 1 fully loaded glyph prepped in their lamp.
You, the only humanoid in the army, have Greater Restoration that comes back on a Short Rest, so unless your DM house-rules against you (which is common, but you didn't specify), you're a fully qualified Coffeelock, and should walk into any fight with 5 sorcery points and infinite L3 spell slots.
You should assume your Mystic Arcana are spent and unavailable, because you never long rest to get them back. Your army casts them for you.
Level 20 zealot barbarian probably, because... 24 strength and constitution is kinda fun. Also, unlimited rage, incredible crits, rage beyond death. Death is no longer an issue.
I'd like to couple it with celestial warlock as well, I guess any warlock would do but the celestial one can heal so you could heal yourself instead of dying. Only 5 times but i mean.. You go the full rage before you use 1 die to survive. Also, the biggest reason is the invocations.
1: One with shadows, you can use an action to become invisible as long as you don't move or take an action (or reaction).
2: Aspect of the moon, downside pact of the tome... Upside, no longer need sleep.
3: probably just devils sight, depending on race. Still good either way and not as important.
Invocation 1 and 2 means you don't need sleep, and you can become invisible. barbarian level 20 means you can rage constantly. Technically rage is a bonus action so in theory you wouldn't break invisibility by using it. Anyone sneaking up on the camp will just hear some growling noice around the camp, every minute sounding a bit angrier.
another good combo, or just good ideas in general is rogue/thief for all the fun bonus actions. The thief works especially well with the rage beyond death and the healer feat since you can heal yourself up, or just use potions, as bonus actions to make sure you can still do all the juicy fun death around you. But it's good for any other class, just the many bonus actions for dash, hide, disengage its just incredible for anyone, even mages, maybe especially mages.
Another really good secondary class is the bard. Whatever subclass gets you jack of all trades for +3 (or more? not sure if proficiency bonus goes above +6 at 20+ levels?) to all non class skills. It's just a really good boost and I mean, you're already level 20 whatever, the +3 to all skills is probably about the best bonus you can get anyways.
Assuming spellslot progression follows a rough pattern beyond level 20, then a pure caster would presumably have two 9th level spells by level 23/24.
Being able to cast Wish twice, or any other 9th level spell, is a very powerful option that is far more powerful than any other low level class feature.
However, at that level, an Artificer's ability to wield Six magic items, ignore magic item requirements, ignore death, and gain +6 to all saving throws is pretty darn appealing.
So,
Druid capstone is monstrous in its own right, and doesn't really need any additional support.
Wizard/Sorcerer getting Double-Wish is potent.
Artificer's get twice as many attunement slots + perks, which at epic levels probably means multiple artifacts.
If you get free reign with magic items, I would go with the Artificer, grab a few scrolls of Shapechange, and transform yourself into a Marilith with 6 Legendary/Artifact weapons.
Otherwise, take Druid or Wizard to gain access to Shapechange, and use your epic level to transform into an Ancient Gold Dragon.
The value of multiple Wishes per day is really just… 8th level spells that you can’t otherwise cast. Any other use takes you out of the rest of the adventuring day, and the next week. Spell flexibility is great, but I wouldn’t say that multiple daily wishes for spell substitution is a “wow” feature that blows every other class out of the water.

Assuming a solid 11 days of simulacra prep, 1024 wishes is a credible threat.

Or you could use paladin instead of warlock, for "Lay On Hands"

Why fight if a lively chat is possible? If things get out of hand, just show yourself out with a dimension door.

might not be quite so powerful up front but I would love to see someone play a real sword mage: Fighter 5 (duelist - Battle master)/ Wizard 20 (Abjurist)
I’d go 20th level Circle of the Moon Druid for the unlimited Wild Shapes plus full spell casting while Wild Shaped. And then I’d pick 5th level of whatever I was in the mood to take at the time. Monk to have a base AC of 5 plus the Wild shape’s Dexterity modifier or the Wild shape’s natural armor plus it’s dexterity modifier would be a very useful add on, not to mention the increased movement from the 5 levels of monk.
what do you think about bard(creation)20/warlock 5, make a large chunk of castle shaped rock and 2 antimatter rifles as well as 2 packs of ammo for them, with performance of creation, make the castle your dancing Item with animated performance, bring a couple friends on board with you, give them the antimatter rifles and then bring the whole thing up 300-500ft in the air, and then spam eldritch blast(get agonizing blast, and eldritch spear, as well as spellsniper if allowed, and grasp of hadar(pull up into air 10ft, 1d6 bludgeoning damage) and repelling blast can be fun)Also, with 20 levels in bard, get all the best long ranged spells. A few defensive ones if your fighting anything that can fly. you can have up to 6 spells of any level from any spell list(including wish)
If your don't have any fellow adventurers to bring up with you, just make 4 bombs or other kinds of explosive(fragmentation grenade are one of the best) instead of the antimatter rifles. drop them off the edge and listen for the explosions Be aware that your DM probably won't let you create antimatter rifles, or explosives, then you could create cauldrons fulll of acid, burning oil, alchemist's fire, or just something really heavy. Drop them off the edge on anything unwise enough to be below you.
While we're necroing this to come up with more zany builds for a campaign that surely ended by now:
I'd make a crit-fishing king. Elf or Half-Elf of some kind to be able to take the Elven Accuracy feat; a dip in 2 Hexblade Warlock for Charisma attack stat and the cheesy Darkness / Devil's Sight combo, 3 levels of Fighter for Champion, and then probably go 20 in Vengeance Pally to get Avenging Angel and the Vow of Enmity when Darkness / Devil's Sight won't work.
Sure, it's a heavily overused idea and pretty typically cheesy, but if we're going over the top anyway that's what I'd want to do. I figure most people would gravitate towards 20th full casters anyway, and would want to do something different.

Dreams Druid 20/GOO Warlock 5, and just play as someone’s creepy horse or familiar 24/7.

To the player? Yes, that’s an awful lot of NPCs you’ve built up who the DM can decide “wish they were the real one.”
To enemies? Debatable.
