My players are nearing the end of a 2 year campaign, probably be done by June. I think I'm planning on revealing the Tomb of Horrors as potentially being found nearby. Certainly sounds more exciting than a Tarrasque!
What are you guys looking forward to most about it?
Honestly, the Adventurers League modules! Previously the AL stuff seems to have gotten lost in "thematic" connections to pretty thick stories. I'm looking forward to some really creative and diverse modules for AL this season
I'm looking forward to seeing how the official conversions of Against the Giants and Tomb of Horrors line up against how I would convert them, and to White Plume Mountain because I've never run that one before.
Arguably, White Plume Mountain and ToH seem to be some of the more famous modules from the days of old.
I am personally excited to run the 5e version of ToH. It's perfect to disorient my very comfortable and successful adventurers!

In the Light, we gather to empower our brother. In its grace, he will be made anew. In its power, he shall educate the masses. In its strength, he shall combat the shadow. And, in its wisdom, he shall lead his brethren to the eternal rewards of paradise.
I loved the 3/3.5 Modules, so cant wait to see a 5e version of Sunless Citadel and Forge of Fury. Plus, there is just something extra special about low level characters tackling a dungeon crawl where turning back is just as big of a challenge as continuing forward.

Even when finding the entrance is a fatal trap.

Honestly? I'm looking forward to Tomb of Horrors. I've never run anything for my group that was so brutal, it will be an interesting change of pace for them.
I'm really looking forward to White Plume Mountain, Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan, and Dead in Thay, in that order. Mostly because I've played all of the rest over the years.
WPM sounds the most interesting to me, particularly with it being the campaign to introduce Blackrazor, Wave, and Whelm.
HST has a Mayan theme, which appeals in a nostalgic way to me, as I used to study Mayan culture in school.
Dead in Thay, originally being a middle part of a series (and not the first part) bugs me, but I've heard good things.
White plume mountain and tales of certain sword that takes souls!
I wonder if they will ever remake Expedition to the Barrier Peaks!!!!

Roll the dice and play the game, I’m not here to listen to your politics.
“But this isn’t right. You’re meant to charge in, sword drawn, banner flying-that’s what all the other knights did!” “Yeah, right before they burst into flame.”
35 mins until this launches on Roll20. If I explode in the near future from excitement, please remember me fondly. I watched the Designing D&D interview about it this morning:
Since I had planned to run the Forge of Fury as the ex-home of one of my player's dwarf, I'd love to see how they convert it. That they randomly added a CR15 roper...
Topic, really.

As a reminder, the adventures included are:

Tomb of Horrors for the sweet sweet cathartic PC killing. :)

Wary the wizard who focuses on homebrew, for he can create nightmares that you wouldn't even dream of

I'm looking for more Realmslore.
If you're going to be talking about the Yawning Portal, give us some more information on Undermountain after Halastar's death.
Maybe a few paragraphs of IC fiction as Mirt and Durnan unexpectedly meet once again, since both think the other's been dead for decades.
Dead in Thay? Excellent! How's Szass Tam doing after his Candledeep idea got stopped, anyway?
⬐ If you thought I added value to the conversation, please let me know!

The two that stand out for me are 'The Sunless Citadel & Against the Giants'.
Though I do intend to run em all for my players.

I'm just sane enough to admit my insanity.
HIDDEN SHRINE IS AN EPIC FOR ADVENTURERS LEAGUE THIS SEASON TOO! :D

"You've left and left and found my tomb, and now your souls will die."
I started playing D&D in the early 2000's 3.0 days.
I love Forge of Fury. Nice to see it and Sunless Citadel make it into 5th edition.
