With Unarmed Fighting style...is below accurate? Or are each flurry blow hit a 1d6+6?
Thanks!
Bonus Action=Rage. Attack Action 1d8+4(Unarmed Fighting)+2(Rage) Spend 1 Ki for Flurry of Blows 1d8+6x2. 3d8+18. ~32 for 1st attack action. Repeat above for 2nd action. Can Action Surge and do it a 3rd time. And can Disengage without opportunity attacks triggering.
I'm thinking I have something wrong, because if all 3 Attack Actions land in round one, this drunken boy may do around 96 damage in Nova.
You can't flurry of blows if you raged with your bonus action. You can't flurry of blows twice in a round, much less three times, as it uses your bonus action.
Also, you seem to be confused about the difference between the attack action, and making an attack. When you take the attack action, you get to make two attacks. If you action surge, you can take the attack action again, which gets you two more attacks. So, if you flurry and action surge, you get six unarmed strikes once, and can do four a round as long as you burn ki.
I can't be bothered to try to figure out what you're doing with unarmed fighting style, monk unarmed fighting, and whether it works.
Much Obliged! I'm new and loving it. Appreciate your assistance! 6 punches total with an Action Surge round and 4 punches in subsequent rounds helps a lot. I definitely need to learn to differentiate an attack action vs attacks within the action. Thanks again!

The fighting style give you 1d8 damage which would take lvl 11 Monk. Just boosting the damage early. The downside being it uses STR bonus.
STR bonus is better than Dex- there are potions let alone permanent magic items to boost ones strength to 29 (belt of storm giant strength).
It just makes less sense *99.9%* of the time for monks to go Dex route, because it’s tied into their AC, and monks have survivability issues because of their ac and hit points
Curious of someone can check my kakamamy math...

only 1 BA per round so...scratch the 3xFoB shenanigans. It would look more like...Bonus Action=Rage. x2 Attack action 1d8+4(Unarmed Fighting)+2(Rage).
