So I am trying to make an occult knight using blood hunter, heavy armor, shield, and flail atm.
we are starting at lv 4 and I am unsure which order and which race would be good for this setup focusing on str, con, and wisdom.
What race would be good for this build?
Should I go profaned soul or ghost slayer? The other two won’t fir very well.
Planning to do a backstory of an urchin seeking to become a noble knight and after earning respect and building himself up to a knights status was abandoned and left for dead by his own comrades in a cursed fetid swamp. He was saved by an old women who nursed him back to health and he learned dark blood magic from her becoming something darker to get revenge.
this is just the rough concept that will change as i need it to and will be fleshed out more later on.
The most straightforward build, based on the backstory above, would be the Profane Soul archetype. I'm not sure which pact; it depends on the nature of who saved him in the swamp. For race, I'd make him a variant human with the heavy armor feat, since Blood Hunters only start with medium armor. This gives you a +1 to Strength, and a +1 to two other scores, most likely Con and Wis.
