This is my first time doing one of these things, so bear with me.
My party is close to leveling to 10, and I am bronze dragon sorcerer high elf. I am one of the main damage-outputs. I used to have a quasi-utility role, but our party recently had a member replaced with a buff. I am not sure what to take for my spells--my dm allows flexible adjustment of spell lists minus cantrips for the sorcerer class. Here is what I'm considering, and I would love any possible feedback on this spell list. Keep in mind my element is lightning as I am a bronze dragon ancestry.
Spells: 1. Magic Missile 2. Shield (helpful for when I happen to get attacked in surprise melee) 3. Chromatic Orb (elemental affinity bonus) 4. See Invisibility (this has become a huge barrier for our team) 5. Lightning Bolt (elemental affinity bonus) 6. Counterspell 7. Haste 8. Wall of Fire 9. Dimension Door 10. Seeming 11. Teleportation Circle (need to keep)
Cantrips: 1. Blade Ward 2. Presto 3. Ray of Frost 4. Chill Touch 5. Light 6. Shocking Grasp 7. Message (adding this at 10th level; thought about true strike, but the concentration and any mechanics to try to make this feasible will not work in my campaign)
Once you get to level 11, and cantrips get another attack die, you should probably ditch Chromatic Orb. I would replace it with Absorb Elements. At higher levels it can be hard to find good uses for 1st level spell slots, and Absorb Elements is a very situational use, but it can be very useful when that situation comes up. Ditching Chromatic Orb at level 10 for Absorb Elements is just fine as well.
In that case, I think Thunderwave would be good as an Area of Effect attack, and for the knockback utility. It is thunder damage, so it's somewhat thematic for your character.
Misty Step isn't as thematic, but it's one of the most useful spells in the game, so that's also a good choice.

Thank you for the insight!!
Sorry for the double reply, but my DM doesn’t allow any spells outside of basic rules, so absorb elements isn’t an option.

Suggestion is also a pretty useful choice.
For higher level spells, Polymorph and Animate Objects are known as two of the most powerful spells in the game for their levels.
