Btw will there ever be a section where you can build a epic level characters?
epic boons from the dungeon master's guide are supposed to fill the role of epic characters, and i cannot see how it is even remotely relevant to this thread at all?

This is my thread and therefore ask anything I want. This is a thread for learning. Anybody can ask anything on this thread as it pertains to D&D. Secondly, I was thinking more along the lines of building epic level characters.

first of all, the amount of threads you can create is not a limited a limited resource, you can if you want make another thread, and in fact doing so would be better as it means that your question could be answered by people who are not in this thread, nobody will click on an thread titled "where is the brute subclass" with the expectation that it is actiually about speculation regarding epic characters
and then as for the question itself i want you to clarify two things:
1) section of what? section in the dnd beyond character builder or a section on epic characters in an official source book?
2) what exactly do you mean by epic characters? do you mean characters of 21st level or higher like what the term meant in previous editions, or are you talking about the epic boons system the DMG provided?
i personally do not think they will ever allow you to make characters higher than 20th level simply because 20th level is already designed to be the cumulation of all your abillities, a lot of classes become really overpowered when they reach 20th level (especially moon druids) and having to deal with that balance mess is such a chore, also it would enable tons of new unbalanced combinations that were not previously possible (11th level arcane trickster /10th level abjuration wizard who always successfully counter spells any spell of any level with any spell slot)
Add on top of that the fact that designers already put in place a system (epic boons) (they can be found within the dungeon master's guide) that are supposed to enable you to continue character progression once you have reached 20th level, yeah i just do not see it happening, at most we might see an expansion of the system with a few new boons added
