No cussing, no fussing, no excess drama, and no arguing. Just play the game. I made the rules, please respect them.
What You Start With:
You start out with 1500 Army Points (AP). More Army Points can be gained only by winning battles. Army Points can be spent on various types of troops, detailed near the bottom.
You will also start with Soldier Points (SP) for each type of soldier you have, equal to Ωd4+Ω, with Ω being the total number of one type of soldier. For example, with 1000 T1 Ranged and 500 T1 Infantry, I would get 1000d4+1000 Soldier Points (Ranged) and 500d4+500 SP (Infantry).
You will also start with enough equipment, ammunition, and mana for all of your soldiers, calculated like so: Armor/Weapons=Ω; Ammunition=20×Ω(R); Mana=10×Ω(M). Note that all of these can be lost in battle, but all except Mana can be scavenged from the battlefield. To regain Mana, each Magic unit needs time outside of battle.
Units:
Different units interact differently with each other in battle. For example, Anticavalry units work best against Cavalry and Monster units, but have trouble against Magic and Ranged units.
Unit Types: Infantry, Ranged, Cavalry, Siege, Magic, Shield, Anticavalry, and Monster.
Combat has 3 main phases: Placement, Battle, and Resolution.
Placement & Terrain:
For every battle, I will describe the battlefield, including certain terrain features that may affect the outcome. For example, there's difficult terrain, such as mud, that can hinder movement for some units. High ground is considered advantageous. During the Placement Phase, you will describe how you want your troops to be arranged. Note that formations of troops can only move as fast as the slowest troop.
Battle:
Battle requires some math and a few steps. First, Movement; players determine which troops they want to move, and where. After moving, you can: Fortify, which adds 1d4 (& +tier for Shield units) to fighting rolls until your next turn; Load, which Catapult and Trebuchet units must do before they can Fire; Fire, which Ranged and Loaded Catapult/Trebuchet units can do to roll against another Formation, in which case they cannot lose units; and cast spells. Last is the actual Fighting; when two groups of troops move to the same spot, the players each count the total number of troops in their formation, and roll 1d4 per Tier for each troop, unless I specify otherwise. The formation with the lower roll loses a number of tiers of units equal to 1d4 + the higher roll minus the lower roll, while the other formation only loses a number equal to the difference. For example, if a formation of 6 T2 units rolls higher than a formation of 2 T3 units, and the difference is 3, and the losing formation rolls a 3, then the second formation loses both T3 units and the first formation only loses 1 T2. Now, about Spells; each Magic unit can cast 1 spell per round. A Summon Spell can act as a temporary formation of troops that lasts 1 battle round, and rolls 1d4 per Mana expended in casting. A Buff spell adds 1d4 per Mana expended to the roll for the unit it's cast on. A Damage Spell targets a formation, and rolls 1d4 per Mana spent casting it. If a Spell is Prepared, it gets an extra dice per Mana spent to Prepare it, along with the dice from Mana spent Casting it. Spells can be continued by casting each round. After all this, the next round starts, and it continues until either there are no troops left on one side, or until one player surrenders.
Resolution:
Combat is resolved with the Resolution Phase, during which the player who won can scavenge 1d4 equipment per surviving troop they have. The player that lost loses half of the equipment from the troops that died. The winner also gains 1d4 AP and 1d4+1 SP per troop they killed. The loser rolls the same amounts of dice, but loses that much of each.
Rules for Fortresses and Sieges will come later.
If you have read EVERYTHING, then put the word "WaR" in your first post.
Complicated. But I love wargames, and I play Total War, so I guess I'll make an army!
Infantry: 10 militiamen, 5 foot soldiers
Ranged: 10 archers, 5 crossbowmen
Cavalry: 8 knights
Siege: 2 catapults
Magic: 3 wizards
Shield: 3 bastions
Anticavalry: 20 pikemen
Monster: 2 purple worms, 1 dragon
Fill up half the rest of the AP with huntsmen and the remaining AP after that with Horsemen.

Hi! I'm EJO. I am a silly billy who forgets to play Genshin Impact every day totally DOESN'T simp for at least three different ninja girls. Some other facts about me:
I main Milio in League of Legends, and therefore have extreme anxiety whenever my glass cannon Vayne main teammate charges at the enemy while I'm at the spawn zone.
My average accuracy in Marvel Rivals is about 19%.
If anyone says the words "Spider man lord" in my presence I will immediately lock myself in my room.

Soldier Points can be used to upgrade troops to a higher tier. To do so, you must spend a number of points equal to 2.5 (round UP to whole numbers) times the Army Point value of the next tier unit of the same type.
