If you have purchased the players handbook on dndbeyond then it will automatically be available to choose in the character builder once your character is advanced to level 3 or higher.
The College of Lore is available through the Basic Rules so you should have access to it. Make sure your Bard is at Level 3, as that it where they gain their subclass, you will then gain the feature of that subclass (like cutting words) automatically.
While rule #1 is always to play what sounds the most fun to you, it's worth asking the rogue and cleric what their plans are.
For example, if the rogue intends to play a swashbuckler, that may feel a bit redundant if you want to go College of Swords. If the cleric is going to be a frontliner with War or Forge domain, then the party could probably make use of a offense-caster substitute, which could position you to take on that role with Lore or Eloquence. If the cleric is going to play in the back, then maybe your best fit is to take College of Valor, whip out a shield, and play a warrior-poet. https://100001****/
I can't find it :(
What is your Bard College, and do you know what book it came from?
Jander Sunstar is the thinking person's Drizzt, fight me.
College of lore from player handbook. Was assuming there was somewhere to select it which would add cutting words, etc
