Have you tried the Maps alpha on this very site? It does work on mobile devices, and syncs directly with the DnDBeyond sheets and Encounter Builder.
Failing that, Owlbear Rodeo works on mobile devices too, but it's a little bit more work to set up than Maps. (It has greater functionality currently however.)
I prefer Owlbear for its charming simplicity. Roll20 has a mobile app, although I have no idea how well it works. And, of course, we have the Maps here.
DnD on console. We have a lesser version of DnD in the new BG3 game (not a lesser video game though). They did say it would be playable on console, i don't see an issue with Macs having a stab at it. In fact I bet the new VisionPro would be pretty cool to use with the new VTT. As far as maps are concerned ... I wonder if they'd be interested in allowing beta users to volunteer time to build maps of existing products, allowing the volunteer free use of the VTT on release. In the late 90's they did something like this with the Forgotten Realms and Campaign Cartographer. Not so much free product but to have the contributors' names on the CD case labeling. I'd ask that Wotc take it a step further. There are a ton of product that I'm sure volunteers would love a chance to build on. Maybe not free month subscriptions, but maybe if you build so many assets, you get the whole or part of the volunteer asset lists available to you? If I worked on The Temple of Elemental Evil maps and I did the Inn of the Welcome Wench, i'd say it would be fair to allow me access to Hommlett assets, where someone doing the moathouse or Nulb would have the similar access. Where a larger map like the temple... if someone did air and the other did water, etc they would have access to those assets. And I'm not talking about the monsters, really. If they are in the MM then they should be available. I'm talking about the buildings and such.

As a note, the D&D Beyond maps tool is currently only available for people with a Master Tier subscription.
I'm not sure how friendly Roll20 is on mobile, but I think most VTT features should still be free to use.

Terra Lubridia archive:
The Bloody Barnacle | The Gut | The Athene Crusader | The Jewel of Atlantis
im a fan of abovevtt its free and works really well with ddb
I’ve also used AboveVTT, it’s really good. You can use DDB character sheets with it, which is nice. I doubt it works on mobile, though.
