Our dm has granted each party member a gift from the gods.
My gift was an additional spell slot per spell level, and an additional prepared spell per spell level.
I can't seem to find any way to modify these in the homebrew feats. I've also asked google gemini and it's said that there isn't any standard option to do this, but it has a number of convoluted work arounds.
Just checking if anyone knows if this is possible, and if so, how to go about implementing this for my character.
You cannot increase spell prepared limit normally but there is a way. To add more prepared spells you would need to make a copy of the species or subclass and add the feature there. Add spell and ensure Counts as Known is no, counts as prepared is no (because this is referencing your maximum normal limit of preparations, by selecting no it means it doesn't count against your normal maximum), and Uses Spell Slot as Yes. You can either check "is infinite" and just be done, trusting the user to keep to the limits or you need to create a new feature for each level they would be able to add a new prepared spell.

So I have found ways to do this, but it is a hack and requires remembering to manage it on level up etc.
To Increase Spell Slots, I've added a feat that does this.
For each additional spell slot, add a new "General" Action
Set "Activation Type" to "Special" and "Reset Type" to "Long Rest"
Give it a name like "Extra Level {n} Spell Slot"
Save
While still in the Action, scroll to the bottom and add a new "Limited Use" item
Give it a "Number of Uses" of 1.
Repeat this for each additional Spell Slot for each spell level. As I gain access to higher level spell slots, I'll need to modify this feat to include the additional spell slot.
-------------------------------------
To increase the number of prepared spells, I was able to temporarily modify my spellcasting ability score (Int) by +10, giving me 5 extra prepared spells. Once selected, I removed the temporary modification and the prepared spells do not get removed. You do get a red warning "19/14 prepared spells", and I'd imagine at each level up or when I need to modify my prepared spells, I'd need to repeat this action, but it allows me to keep everything in app.
Bit of a pain to have to go about it this way, but as mentioned, it does allow me to continue playing within the app, and not need to revert to pen/paper.

It's a good workaround but it can make the actions section look messy and will not have any interaction with spells / cast buttons. Better than nothing though. 👍

The problem is this no longer works for 2024 classes because their spell preparations are no longer tied to the spellcasting ability.

I've shared a few screenshots to show this in action: https://www.icloud.com/photos/#/icloudlinks/0a51s4UfMSeG1eiEPVV7HX7NQ/2/

Only for 2014 classes. I did make a video some time ago showing this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d0CGR5pG1I
