I'm in a campaign where one of my players is a black half-dragon and I'm a young silver dragon under a True polymorph spell, and I just realized that he was due to a remark made by my DM. I'm not sure about how True Dragons and half-dragons of a evil alignment interact,if any so any tips? Attacking my fellow-player would be heavily frowned upon..
To comment and respond to the question actually asked, alignment in 5E isn't like older editions. It is meant to be more flexible than it was previously so, that is a question for your DM.
While true dragons do have pretty rigid alignments, half dragons tend to be like their humanoid parent quite a bit. Given silver dragons' great care for humanoids I don't think there'd be an automatic issue unless the characters themselves are the cause of it.

Neither are playable races so not sure how that would work.

You retain your alignment and personality so you do whatever you want.
It’s totally fine. Not all black half-Dragons are evil. Also, in 5e alignment is determined by your actions, not the other way around.
