I'm especially grateful for the amazing people I've met through Adventurer's League, and I essentially have been DMing the same players for a while now. I was wondering what kind of cute or creative ideas you all have for thanking them? Some ideas I've tossed around are tokens commemorating the end of their last great battle, as well as maybe a small illustration of the part during one of their adventures from Etsy or something.
I try and incorporate events from the previous game in the next one. For example a statue of their characters from a previous campaign showing up in a new campaign.

You can't do that in AL, though, can you?

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both" -- allegedly Benjamin Franklin
You can, it just means sprinkling in a little flavor here and there that won't have any meaning outside of that group.
Like, if I've got a group that retired their characters for the season and got together for a new season, and for some reason the new group travels through an area that the old group romped through already, what is the harm in describing a memorial stone or statue in a town or along the roadway dedicated to the previous group? It doesn't change the story in any way and is a fun call-back for the players around the table.

Hello, all!
I'm especially grateful for the amazing people I've met through Adventurer's League, and I essentially have been DMing the same players for a while now. I was wondering what kind of cute or creative ideas you all have for thanking them? Any help or ideas would be amazing!

You can almost never go wrong with waffles and beer.
