My world is a hollow "bubble" inside earth's crust at size of Europe (including water though, so land is smaller than Europe). Need some ideas of setting and demography or dominant race.
Your setting seems to be this Hollow planet the game would take place in. Honestly, you can have almost anything anywhere because you are making it up. That said, there are several races that live in the underdark that would be suited very well to that sort of environment. Anything that has darkvision would also be beneficial. In general races that have a disposition towards magic are generally more likely to become powerful depending on how prevalent magic is within your world.
It might help if you create a rough map of where large amounts of recourses are located so you can place groups on the map and create towns that link those resource places together. If you do it this way you can have the traditionally 'Mine races live by the ore/gems. Nature races live in the large forest/agricultural area. Water races live by/in large water areas." So on and so forth. If you build it this way you can see what places would be in need of other recourses and how trade relationship would be established then potentially broken and how wars would be caused. If there is a group that lives in a place that is not very resource rich, but has a rapidly expanding population they might start attacking some of the more recourse rich areas to accommodate the expansion. This might cause a war or a merger of cultures (maybe this is where the halfbreeds come from?)
Honestly, if something feels like it is getting to complicated for your game is probably is. You only need to have enough stuff planned to start the adventure and you can develop more complex things as the game progresses. That way you don't spend 20 hours coming up with the details of a fictional war that your player never end up engaging with.
