I'm currently in a campaign where we are in a zombie apocalypse and was wondering if anyone made a scavenging check similar to the foraging one in the DMG?
that said what sort of thing (i might a bit of this myself as am currently building a post apoc setting myself link in sig)
misc scrap-can be used in place of gold while crafting (4d6+how much you passed the check by gp)
some inspiration
random trinkets
food
water
common magic items (also random remove for non-magic setting)
3d10 gp of coin and gems (rolling a 1 or 10 on any of the d10's adds another d10 of gp)
1d4 minor healing potions
a single random tool kit
a rusted weapon breaks if it rolls a 1 or 20 on attack roll but does an extra 1d4 poison damage
it would be a random table better things having higher numbers and you can roll again and choose any roll for every additional 2 you passed the dc by for the check.
