Hey all! Something I’ve been toying with lately is how to mechanically represent specific hag lineage in Hexblood. Obviously it’s implied by the art & lore that specific lineage does affect at least the appearance of the Hexblood, so I wanted to try and expand on that so it was more than just “if your hag mom was blue, you’re an extra blue elf with horns” haha.
What would you all do if tasked with adding onto hexblood like this?
I think on a smaller scale, I might go along with just adding a third spell to hex magic related to the abilities of the Hag. On a larger scale, I’d certainly go the subrace route. But, I’d worry about over developing them to the point hexblood becomes less of a lineage and more of a full race haha. I feel like an alternative for larger scale changes would be changing what the token can do?
