So far i came up with the idea of a dragons soul being trapped with a gauntlet after its defeat. and the dragon goal was to become the strongest and kill every of dragon and be the only one left.
During this discussion I would keep your copy of the DMG handy. After the list of magic items, there is a section on Sentient Items, this is important to look at.
Which type of dragon? It sounds like a chromatic dragon, probably a red or black dragon. You may want to give the gantlets a breath weapon like effect.

Gauntlet of The Apocalypse Dragon Wondrous Item, Artifact (Requires Attunement)
Aegis Of the Damned: As a action, the wielder of the Gauntlet is able to summon a set of Plate Armour. While the wielder is wearing the armour, they produce a 15ft aura around them. When a creature starts it turn in the aura or moves into the aura, they take 2d10 Fire Damage as well as 2d10 Cold Damage.
Flesh of Ice and Fire: When attuned to the gauntlet, you gain the following benefits: You have Resistance to both fire and cold damage. You don't suffer the effects of extreme heat and cold.
Sentience. The Gauntlets of the Apocalypse Dragon is a sentient Chaotic Evil item with an Intelligence of 16, a Wisdom of 10, and a Charisma of 20. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet.
The item can speak, read, and understand Common, Draconic. In addition, the item can communicate telepathically with any character that carries or wields it.
Personality. The Gauntlet's sole purpose is to eliminate every single dragon in existence and absorb the power of them in order to reach perfection.
Not bad. Note that resistance to fire and cold already grant you immunity to extreme conditions. If the goal of the dragon is to absorb power, I would try to reflect that in the item. Perhaps when the attuned creature kills a dragon, the aegis deals damage from that dragon's breath weapon.

A higher strength score, perhaps dragon wings when you're not in the plate armor. For the aegis, I suggest that creatures first have to make a dex save before taking any damage.

Is there a reason the gauntlet needs to summon a suit of armor? Could the gauntlet not create the aura itself, or else could it be a possessed suit of armor? It just seems a little convoluted.
Well, for what it's worth, here's my thoughts. I would decide, first, if the gauntlet is cursed or not. Sentient items are fun to roleplay as the DM, so I would need to know that before the character acquired the item. Then, I would ask myself who trapped the dragon's soul into the gauntlet. That's some powerful magic, and a very powerful caster. I'm presuming the caster is dead? Maybe not....
Then I might approach the gauntlet's properties like this: as a bonus action, when you spend 1 charge you can cast firebolt as a Level 2 spell caster. Remember it's only 1 charge, so the feature has power limitations. As an action, you can spend 2 charges and cast burning hands as a Level 2 spell caster. As an action, when you spend 3 charges you can cast fire ball as a Level 5 spell caster. One feature can be used per turn. The gauntlet has 10 charges per long rest. At dawn the charges are restored. Notice that the time interval conflicts. So, you, the DM, will have to decide which supersedes, a long rest, or dawn. And, last but not least, once per long rest you gain the dragonborn racial feature, breath weapon. The weapon increases in power as your character gain levels. The breath weapon cannot be used more than once per day, even if the character can attack more than once per turn.
Also, as a bonus action, when you spend 5 charges, you can light the gauntlet with magical fire. On a hit, add 2d6 fire damage to your unarmed strike. This property lasts for one minute.
I'm not so sure a red dragon would want to bestow plate armor. It's after power. A sentient item has its own agenda. The character may be serving a temporary role until something better comes along.

The player will be able to sustain the aura for 10 minutes per day in increments of one minute at a time, and regain the minutes use per hour the player has rested

Curse: The wearer is compelled to seek out dragons no matter their colour or alignment and will attack them without remorse The Player is instantly aware of any dragon within a 5 mile radius, even if it is shape changed into another being (e.g. humanoid) When the player senses a dragon with in 5 miles , they must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom save or become subject to a Geas spell , and seek out nearest dragon and slain it, and once slain the effect of the Geas spell fades and you cant be affected by it again until the next dawn ,If the player succeeded the saving throw they have immunity from the geas affect for that day
And so far for the backstory of the item is that century ago there was a powerful mage, that tired to make the prefect killing machine by combine the aspects of both a white and red dragons, and once it was made the mage lost control of the dragon as it's lust for power overwhelmed the mage.

If you're looking for a base item to layer more effects on to, D&D does not have a rich vein of gantlets or gloves, consisting of Gauntlets of Ogre Power, Gloves of Missile Snaring, Gloves of Thievery, Gloves of Swimming and Climbing.

Seems like a set of dragon-possessed gloves should have claws, or grant some sort of natural weapon.
anything else that could work as a high end ability
