I am working on a Noble Background that gives one Three (3) Servants; the issue is that the "Jarl's Life style depends on how many of those servants are with Him/Her.
The Jarl's [Yes.. the PC's] home manor is is the highest lifestyle [aristocratic].. the Shires settlements are next (wealthy) as all three servants are always with him, and commoners are "his", in the Shire. Even the other players characters have a "hospitality of the court" Manor lifestyle due their social class.. here.. only.
This is servant based not cash..
The three servants are usually only with the Jarl in Settlements or on cart roads between settlements ie (comfortable).
In a hunting camp, usually only one, a Jarl's Squire or Cook, will go serve(poor).
a Valet, will oversee rooms and clothes in settlements, each servant has a lifestyle based on social class paid by the shire. A gentlefolk (Sir or Dame) squire, one; a Noble (lord Esquire) squire another higher; a common(good,Master,Mistress(Missy)) folk, even less, while a "drudge, serf, thrall" less than that.
As the Shires reputation depends on the show they put on for their Jarl.. the Servants are the only ones allowed to carry coin.
The official HACK, for True Nobles of title is a trade good jewelry called "hack-silver". a Bank note that can be redeemed for baskets of wheat, pigs, goats, or salt, is the Only "Cash" that a Jarl carries.
Sigh.. how do I quantify the link between the "Extra" "misc", in the creature section and a feat that requires them.
OR Better Stated: Servants as a Lifestyle Focus.
