So when I DM and I have crused or undead enemies I house rule them ALOT because some are way to easily killed and others are too annoying to kill
First up lycanthropes! Normally they are just immune to slashing, bludgeoning and piercing from non silver or magical weapons but at my table they get resistance to damage from most spells and non silvered weapons, note I said resistance, and they are immune to dead unless there heart is wounded by a silvered weapon or they get there head cut off by a silvered weapon, some spells like moonbeam will badly damage them and weaken them but wont kill, they will also slowly regenerate when not taking damage. So if a low level group comes upon a werewolf they can bring it to 0 HP but not kill it, they can try to capture it, force it to flee or knock it out for a few moments while they get away, this creates new opportunities to fight or run but also creates other operations
Moving on to vampires, first off, they also regenerate when not talking damage, they also heal by large amounts when they drink blood, magic and weapons will hurt them fine but much like other cursed you need to remove the head or destroy the heart in over to "kill" the vampire and it burns into dust, now if the players forget to collect the ashes they can be brought back to life if the majority of there ashes are in one place and virgin blood is poured over it, they back with full HP, makes them much stronger and alot scarier to deal with (also once I put in a JoJos vampire and the group lost there shit, for those who don't know, vampires from jojo's bizarre adventure can only be killed by sunlight, cutting off there head, hacking them to bits, nothing will take but sunlight)
And now to the undead, like zombies and skeletons, so first up all of them have undead fortitude, next they all straight up have immunity to piercing as anything you could stab wont effect them, resistance to slashing and vulnerability to bludgeoning (for rogues using daggers or short swords I let them get away with them having the weapons deal slashing or piercing damage so long as they make melee attacks with them) and some elements do little to nothing or change them, like deal enough fire, acid or necurtic damage to a zombie and it turns into a skeleton who are immune to fire, acid, poison and necurtic (zombies are immune to poison as well as there have no heartbeat so blood doesn't flow making poison ineffective, as for skeleton immunity they dont have anything to burn, melt or rot off) I find this makes them more intersex does and far more dangerous, like fighting a zombie oger and the group decides to burn it with fire balls, after its HP drops fo 0 out from the flames immerges a its skeleton ready to fight, minus any bludgeoning or thunder damage the zombie took as those damage types are concussive force) on that thought electricity wouldn't have too much of a effect on dead flesh either!
I do this to make these creatures that should be feared alot more scary and imposing, normally when the party hears "there is a large group of zombies go kill them" the group goes ok, one fire ball coming up! Now those creatures will give a bit more pause to adventuring parties, even high level ones!
