I just finished updating my warforged feats and plan on making a handful of racial feats for hobgoblins. I was wondering how often do other groups actually use racial feats or just feats in general. I remember seeing something awhile back about how most groups don't use feats. So I thought I'd ask you guys to see how other groups here implement feats into there games. With my group, each character starts with 1 non-combat/non-master like feat and can gain more by choosing a feat over an asi, or they can gain them as boon like rewards by doing things closely tied to a feat for a long enough time.
Feats are usually inferior to a +2 to your primary attribute, so other than variant humans they rarely come up before level 12 (8 for fighter, 10 for rogue), and a lot of campaigns don't reach level 12.
