My current campaign is (unbeknownst to my players) the "origin" story for the setting I plan to use for any future games I run. Once this campaign is complete, and the fallout settles, the new campaign setting will pick up several hundred years later as a sandbox. This way the setting is a combination of my own ideas and creations, plus the fallout from the decisions and actions my players took during this opening campaign.
I am considering the playable races that will be available for the future setting and I am wondering if there are any holes. The current campaign is low/dark fantasy with a few high fantasy elements, while the future setting will be more dark+high fantasy. Here are the races likely available, barring any unexpected genocides carried out by my current players.
COMMON
Human and Human Variant
Mountain Dwarf
Hill Dwarf
Wood Elf
Orc (in my setting, all the "orcs" are based on the half-orc race. There is nothing in my world like what 5e would consider a true orc. Further, there are 3 morphologies of orc (green, red and grey) with different modifiers and different flavor)
Barbarian (these are another variant human category, but to the people of my setting they are considered a completely different race. In hindsight I should have come up with a different name for them as it has lead to endless confusion, since barbarian is also a class... but oh well.)
Kobolds (I use a homebrewed kobold which is more like a little kangaroo than a draconic creature)
Goblins (very common but highly unlikely they could be a PC race. The goblins in this setting have a reputation as being exceedingly cruel and vile, and if a PC goblin, even the friendliest you could imagine, walked into a town with a group of adventurers it would almost certainly come under immediate assault by the vengeful townfolk. Its conceivable the events of this campaign could have set in motion the creation of reformed goblins... but my players chose to distribute magical meth amphetamines to the goblin communities instead... long story.)
RARE
Halflings
"Red" Dwarves (variant dwarf)
High Elves (presently they would be a highly modified homebrew using Eladrin as a foundation but by the end of this campaign they may be nerfed back to standard high elves)
Lizardfolk
Kenku (just magically created in my campaign... barring their extirpation they will have spread to become a rare race by the time of the future setting)
"Half-Giant" (also just created, unexpectedly. I haven't worked out their stats yet)
"Native Humans" (actually, neanderthal-like cthulhu-worshipping transplants from another dimension. 50/50 shot they will be wiped out by the time the future campaign setting begins. If they still exist it would be hard to work one in as a PC but I included them here anyway).
So that is what would exist if the setting was ready today. Note that there are no "deep" races. An underdark exists in this setting but it is miles underground and it takes weeks of travel and climbing to get from the surface down there and vice versa. So while things like dark elves and deep gnomes exist in my setting, they may as well be on the moon for how difficult it is to get down there, or up to the surface. Also note that for the most part there are no "half" races. In my setting, everyone can breed with humans but the result is always human. Only in rare cases can the other races inter-breed (elves and giants recently created the half-giants, thanks to my players and much to my surprise).
So what is missing? Well, obviously some printed races are missing... but what NEEDS to be here? There is still time for me to fit in the creation or arrival of another race or two before the end of the campaign and maintain consistency of lore. Any recommendations?

cthulu-worshiping wow and from another dimension that sounds pretty cool to they have special powers or would they just be some sort of re-skinned kalashtar
