So I am amassing a collection of homebrew I made for my home games, and I came up with this feat:
Divine Ward
You are blessed by a deity, granting you protection. Creatures with this effect often glow slightly, though this has no effect. The majority of creatures with this blessing are clerics or paladins, but any creature blessed by a deity can exhibit it.
While not wearing armor, your Armor Class is 15. You can be wearing a shield and still gain this benefit
The inspiration was the Tiefling Paladin of Glory image in Tasha's. I think that it makes sense as a natural armor boost, and it is not unlike what a character would get from the natural armor of a 1-level dip in monk or barbarian if they had decent stats in those scores. My major worry is abuse by Wizards/Sorcerer. I want some advice on how to make it more abuse-resistant. Maybe add that the AC is 13 if you don't have a holy symbol?
Draconic sorcerer subclass gains something similar at level 1 with the AC 13 (+ Dex modifier) that you can reference. All its really doing is making it so you don't use up a spell for Mage Armor mechanically speaking (pretty sure a warlock incantation gives mage armor at will too). Your feat could be 'balanced' similarly if you are worried about it.
