I edited this one like 7 times and every time it didn't save until I realised it's because I didn't give it CR. One of the most frustrating things that happened today and this is after someone had eaten MY ice cream in front of my face (they didn't even think about it possibly being someone else's).
This is not a joke monster. I know it looks like it is but it isn't. I am currently creating a campaign with many lycanthropes and so I made this, along with other things.
The reason the size is small is that I couldn't give it more than one size, as their size should vary between tiny for cat and medium for human, with small as a hybrid.
The reason the CR is 0 is that I couldn't decide on what it should be. I'd like to hear your opinions about that.
Pretty cool. Is it supposed to be based off of the werecats from Eragon?

All stars fade. Some stars forever fall. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Homebrew (Mostly Outdated):Magic Items,Monsters,Spells,Subclasses ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If there was no light, people wouldn't fear the dark.
A few feedback and personnal note: There are plenty of things that I personally find weird, at least compared to most other lycanthropes, and mostly to the weretiger (as triggers are quite just like giant cats).
size: I think the size should be medium, so far if you look at existing were<insert creature name> creature, their size in humanoid and hybrid form is medium, and change only when they are fully transformed. but the fully transformed size is not mentioned, as you may refer to the creature statblock (like with a werewolf, you can go and check the wolf sheet to know the size).
Climbing claws: Despite the triggers been extremely agile creatures, nothing about their climbing speed is mentioned in their sheet, so I don't think that part is necessary.
Expert sneak: Similarly for the sneaking part, the wererat literally live in hidden societies, and therefore are quite used to sneak around, but nowhere is stated specific stealth advantage on their sheet. Tiggers are also totally able to sneak on their prey, but it ain't stated on the weretiger sheet either.
Always on their feet: Triggers do no fall on their back either, still weretigers don't get that feature.
Cursed Cuteness: Maybe you should precise that creature that has been attacked by the werecat get adv on the save because no matter how cute a cat is, i see little reason to pet him if he just tried to murder me
Overall, and this is just my opinion, but I think the expert sneak, always on their feet, and climbing claws make the first part of the sheet very busy for very little addition, at least compared to other usual lycanthropes. As for the action, the cursed cuteness does make it feel more like a joke monster. Personally, I do think most lycanthropes are very similar purely stats and mechanically, yes, but they are still all nice to have because their lore change so much, from the cursed, blood-thirsty werewolf, to the hidden wererat laying under the city, auto regulating their numbers. My suggestion would be to more or less use the weretiger stat block, maybe slightly modified, but to mainly change the lore (and alignment, each lycanthrope generally have very different alignment) to make it into your own for those werecats!
