Greetings, traveler! Hi everyone, my name is Brian. I’ve been playing and running RPGs for 28 years, including Dungeons and Dragons, Shadowrun, GURPS, Vampire the Masquerade, Pathfinder, and a bunch of others. I am a committed, engaging GM who works hard to ensure every player has the best time they possibly can.
Please peruse our wares: - A well-crafted, evocative story that hinged on your characters’ actions - A personalized side-quest made specifically for each character - Fully-voiced, interesting NPCs who add to the landscape of the story - Premium sound through Syrinscape - A private Discord channel for chat and text during games, as well as a place where I will hang player resources
The Mists beckon... Under raging storm clouds, a lone figure stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. The vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stares down a sheer cliff at the village below. A cold, bitter wind spins dead leaves about him, billowing his cape in the darkness.
Lightning splits the clouds overhead, casting stark white light across him. Strahd turns to the sky, revealing the angular muscles of his face and hands. He has a look of power—and of madness. His once handsome face is contorted by a tragedy darker than the night itself.
Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as Strahd turns his gaze back to the village. Far below, yet not beyond his ken, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd’s face forms a twisted smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they have come—all according to his plan. He, the master of Ravenloft, will attend to them.
Another lightning flash rips through the darkness, its thunder echoing through the castle’s towers. But Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind—or perhaps a lone wolf—fills the midnight air. The master of Ravenloft is having guests for dinner. And you are invited.
- Campaign Length: Six months (possibly longer, depending on player choices) - Session Length: 4 Hours each, starting at 14:00 (EST) with a 10 minute break at mid-game - Levels: 1-10 (or higher, depending on player choices) - Group Size: 4-6 - You are welcome to use all official sourcebook content, but let’s discuss UA first - **New players welcome**
Before you travel any further...
This story will be a faithful interpretation of the spirit of Curse of Strahd. This means that I will use the core module as the primary source for the game, but I will deviate and add homebrew story content that I think adds to the mood and atmosphere of the game. This benefits new and experienced players alike, because you will never know what is lurking in that dark shadow, or around the next corner.
Payment There will be weekly paid sessions, I would ask to be paid every Saturday before 14:00 (EST) Each player will be expected to pay $10 per session via Paypal. Session 0 will be free, as will the “Death House,” prequel, which will allow the players to get to know each other and whether they would want to pay for the experience.
Why should you pay? Paying for games helps ensure both the DM and players are on time and ready to play each session. It also helps me set time aside to work on making these games as fun for the players as they can be. This also allows me to pay for premium services like Syrinscape for sound, a Pro membership to Roll20 and the modules themselves.
If you feel you are up to the task: Fill out the application in the Discussion below!
