Greetings! I am a DM that is looking for players on a campaign that I have conceptualized. I am in my 40's and originally from the United States but living in Malaysia now. I have played DnD for a while and have started to dip my toes in DMing. I am looking to find a few more players to flesh out my game. Please see below for more information and let me know if you might have an interest.
HOOK:
As an aspiring criminal, you completed a number of daring crimes that put you on the path of both power and fame. Unfortunately, a stint in Silverymoon has gotten the better of you. You find yourself in jail and sentenced to an extended period of time. As you adjust to serving your sentence in the Silverymoon jail, events that have taken place, made you a bit tougher , a bit wiser and due to your own unique talents and skills created a bit of a name for yourself. After a few months, one fateful evening you find yourself escorted out of your cell and into a room with a group of others criminals. A guard from the Knights in Silver, and an older-looking wizard type sit at a table shuffling through a few papers. The wizard, with a crackle in his voice, speaks to the crowd; "You have been brought here this evening to potentially gain your freedom. We are looking for a few volunteers, that will work for the interest of the Silvermoon Conclave. After completing a number of tasks, your debt to society will have been pay and you will find yourself free of all criminal charges." At first, the 15 or so criminals all look at each other confused. Then slowly one by one, each raises their hand, including yourself. "Excellent," said the man with the long white beard and white robe to match. "Please step forward and tell us your name, your occupation, and the charges you have been found guilty of. We shall choose candidates from there."
GAME OVERVIEW:
The campaign will be a mix of a variety of published works from WotC such as “Silver Marches” and other content created by other DM’s including myself. The setting takes place in the early 5E lore timeline starting around the late1470s. The actions starts for the party during spring when the winter mountain passes are starting to become navigable. The adventure is planned for at least levels 3-10.
The Silver Marches, is a feral land that is yet to be tamed to its full extent. There are a number of strongholds within the Silver Marches (Silverymoon, Sundabar, etc.) that will give the adventurer’s a safe place to rest. But the structure of this campaign allows the party to explore the surrounding areas of The Silver Marches, relatively freely once areas are discovered. In the beginning, the story will be more linear, but as the adventure progresses, a sandbox approach will open up after gaining around the 4th level. The rationale behind this is simple, some of the areas are too dangerous for lower-level characters, and to be honest, some places are still deadly for much higher levels. So be careful!
The campaign will mainly concentrate on regional mountainous adventures. There is a myriad of different options open to the adventurers, and many places where the party may explore since there are no dungeon walls to restrict your movement. But the concentration will be set on the Silver Marches. WotC regional history will be loosely applied.

Your expectations of a table and game:
Why you think you'd be a good fit for this group, and thus why we should pick you:
Base character concepts (the more detailed, the better) including 3 crimes committed landing you in jail in Silverymoon:
House rules (No Ebberon or UA without DM approval. No to any homebrew for the purpose of balance.)
I'm looking for a longer term campaign to play as a player, as I am DM'ing campaigns for two groups but haven't been able to play as a PC in quite a while. I like both combat and RP moments, and enjoy a DM that is quite strict/follows the rules closely and challenges their players. I am happy to play with a party of new or experienced players. I am looking for a weekly or fortnightly game, but the main thing is a consistent group at the end of the day. Since I'm in my late 20's I would prefer a group around a similar age/mature. I can be pretty flexible with times, at the moment most afternoons are available, and Wed/Thurs/Fri/Sun would be ideal for nights.
I have quite a few character concepts I have been dying to play so can be flexible around a party, but the concept that I want to explore is a Changeling (happy to change this since it's from Ebberon) Bard that has been used by a criminal organisation to manipulate social situations and steal things via changing looks/gender/race. The Bard goes by the name Laurrel Silvertongue and has the Criminal/Spy background. They are Chaotic Neutral and greedy, and will likely backstab or manipulate someone or a situation if they can gain a reward/benefit from it.
I can be contacted through a message here or on Discord: Rampage#7365
Ooo Finally find a game in a similar Time zone! I love the plot and it seems right up my ally.
I don't have too much expectations for a table, i am a tiny bit shy and might take some time for me to settle in, but i know i wouldn't mind at least a few girls on the table, but honestly, friendly, LGBT+ friendly folks is more then fine to me, fine with swearing and all that. Mature, not childish but not saying people can't be goofy :3
Sadly homebrew isn't allowed so that's most of my characters out the window but, after looking at a bit of art i have saved, the idea of a wizard or some other spell class, dipping into the dark arts, kidnapping and experimenting on living people with different potions and magics could possibly be fun. Kidnapping, illegal experiments and having illegal substances / reading material being her crimes.
Another and much more light hearted option, if allowed, a Feral tiefling or Satyr Swashbuckler/bard with a colourful history of drunken crimes, getting a little too close and personal with nobles, gate crashing noble events and parties, and of course all the crimes she has done when she was part of a pirate crew. Sure, she's kind but a complete ball of chaos that doesn't know when to just shut up, a good fighter and sly with her words. It honestly depends on if the party needs a more serious or light-hearted character :3
I've been playing D&D since i was around the age of sixteen / Fifteen, i'm a very easy going person that doesn't get easily defended and can work with the dm and rarely go against what he says or do, these are just two concept that i have yet i can easily change to fit the party / make it a fun experience for all. I may be slow a few times due to my Dyslexia and may stutter a few times and fall over my words but i absolutely love, love, LOVE to roleplay and create bonds, enemies and friends.
oh! also forgot i'm a chaotic soul that just loves to cause chaos, my favourite classes after all are rouges and warlocks but wouldn't mind trying another class / subclass out.
I have played d&d 3 with a few friends in my college days. Other then that i have not played 4e or 5e a lot. I would require some help with the online play. I mostly like playing with goofy and oblivious players. I usually avoid confrontations with other players and am pretty much completely free on weekends and available after noon on weekdays. The main thing I am looking for is a group which is consistent, regular and most importantly can have some fun. I like to roleplay during my sessions so I can be a little annoying.
I would like to play a half elf which is a good ranger but completely oblivious and hates libraries. All of his crimes were done by him due to some coincidence or bad luck. He burned down a store when he knocked down a torch and tried to put out the fire by some water which turned out to be some flammable liquid which burned down a district. He ran away and while traveling he saw a bird that he shot with his arrow which missed and hit a noble guard which caused him to flee again. He once pulled a stone from a an archway which caused the collapse of a pass which was part of successful trade route. He was seen and the great mastermind was finally captured and taken to silvermoon. He is constantly accompanied by bad luck, but his bad luck is also accompanied with opportunities.
I would prefer a zero session with the dm in order to roll stats. I would have no problem changing race or class.
I am rather new to D&D. So when I struggle with the rules or lores, I'm hoping that the group can bear with me and help me out a little here and there. I'm completely comfortable with adhering to whatever rules the DM decides on since we are playing the DM's game. Role-playing seems very fun, I will try my best to stay in character while playing.
Hey I'm in the same time zone as the DM! I am free on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Preferably every fortnight, but I could also entertain once a week. P.S. If there is any plan/session scheduled this week, I can do just about anytime (I love public holidays!).
I could use some help with creating my character, but for now, I picture my character to be a rougue killer/assassin:
"She didn't think it would become her 'job', because she'd only wanted a retaliation at first. She had always been indifferent to everything happening around her, the only person that kept her somewhat functioning was her little sister. But something bad happened to her little sister, something which she had only been able to uncover after losing her little sister. That was what reignited the dimming flame in her heart, her new purpose in life - she was gonna make all those bastards pay for what they did, and through a series of carefully calculated events, she succeeded. However once the murder spree was done, the flame in her heart died down once more. This time around, she had nothing else to lose, might as well turn it into a living, she thought. She started taking on many jobs ever since, many of which succeeded without an issue, and a few of them failed. Eventually she found herself paying for her failures in the jail of Silverymoon..."
Location: United States, (CST, 13 Hours behind you)
Your expectations of a table and game: One that is a good healthy balance between RP, Combat, Storyline, puzzles, and skill challenges. I am looking for a consistent long term group that I can play with and enjoy playing with. I have good sense of humor, so I am not easily offended.
Why you think you'd be a good fit for this group, and thus why we should pick you: I would be a good fit because I bring a decent level of experience, and a great sense of caracter development to the table. I have been playing for about 3 years now, but within these 3 years I have had the opportunity to play in a lot of community tables, 3 long term campaigns, as well as a couple dozen one shots. So I am well versed, and know how to play. In addition, as I stated above, I have a great sense of humor. I like to to laugh, joke, and partake in silly tasks in order to make things enjoyable. I can fit into any role the group needs. While I usually fall into the leader role, I am also okay falling back and taking the role of healer, or tank, etc.
Base character concepts (the more detailed, the better) including 3 crimes committed landing you in jail in Silverymoon:
Guimer the silencer. Tiefling Rogue/Monk. At the age of 16, Guemir, previously known as Barakas. He quickly showed his skills to the guard and quickly gained the respect of the light-footed section of the military. He had the opportunity to learn from this group and honed in all of his stealthy maneuvers. He showed his value and worth through how fast and nimble he was. He demonstrated how elusive he could be, as well as how precise he was with a multitude of weapons and skill usage. He was top of his recruitment class and because of this he got quick recognition from the higher ups and garnered respect on his own.
He spent the better part of 5 years with the Kings Guards. One day he was with a couple of other assassins that had contracted him out for a hit. He was informed that this was a contract approved by the guard. He was a highly touted assassin and so he was the specific one chosen. As he went and proceeded with his assignment, he found his target and was initially cautious about it because the target was a well-known public figure. But the contract read that this figure was the target, and so in order to complete the target he assassinated the target. Upon completion he returned to the guard shack and took the contract to the bounty man and was informed this official was never a target. He showed the contract to them and was informed this was a fake contract. And because he killed a public official, he was being sentenced to 4 years in prison.
No matter what he did, no matter how much he pleaded he spent the next 4 years of his life sitting in the worst prison in the world. His sentence wasn’t long because he was a highly touted guard member, but still had to serve his sentence. And so, he did, he went and served his sentence. Being a guard member in prison he wasn’t necessarily safe, nor was he necessarily constantly in danger. There were times where he would have to fight people to stay alive. But for the most part, he kept his nose clean, and his head down and got through his 4 years. This is where he learned to hone his skills as a monk. Learning to fight with his bare hands, being lighter on his feet, and getting used to his body being bare and his own protection. While in prison he was able to toughen up his body, and his skin became tougher. And so, he became more comfortable without armor and protection.
Who needs 3 crimes, when your one crime was bad enough to land you in prison alone? Haha This is a character concept I had already drawn up that I was interested in playing. I did want to look at swapping around the monk portion for warlock potentially. But I am okay keeping it this way as well. as there are no spells for this build everything is published material. The only issue might be the tiefling, depending on your ruling for tieflings.
I am pumped that you took interest in my up-and-coming campaign. I apologize for the delay in getting back to the group and will write to each of you individually over the next couple of days. As of now I have three out of five players (people I have played with before), and will finalize the list soon. My criteria is pretty simple, be able to commit to the weekly/bi-weekly sessions (and communicate beforehand you are not available), willing to RPG, and most importantly have a ton of fun. My philosophy is; the game is not about an individual but about the group. This is a core idea of my DMing. Rule of Cool is also something I try to follow, but that will have its limits at times. My campaigns tend to move a bit slower in terms of leveling, if that is a main point of fun, this game may not be for you.Min/maxing is less important than solid storytelling. Thus, after reading a few of my core beliefs and receiving the personalized email, let me know if the gameplay style is still desirable. And finally, I hope this is a long-term campaign.
Your expectations of a table and game: I am looking for a long term group to have fun with. Respect and mutual aid are the key! I'm a great fan of rp and wouldn't mind if we had sessions with no combat at all. I'm looking forward to meet the other players' character and build a unique story together within your world's lore.
Why you think you'd be a good fit for this group, and thus why we should pick you: I have been playing dnd for about 5 years now, so I have some experience but haven't played in the Silver Marches before and I'm excited to discover it! I'm a very easy going person and can usually adapt to a new group. I'm happy to share a table with all kind of players as long as all jokes and plays are good-natured! I'm available most of the evenings on weekdays and I think I'm only 1 hour ahead of you, so my schedule is quite flexible.
Base character concepts (the more detailed, the better) including 3 crimes committed landing you in jail in Silverymoon: I have a few characters at the ready, but reading about your campaign I thought this one could be a good fit.
Malgatha Brightash, human (illuskan), bard (college of whispers). Born in a modest farmer's hamlet, the young girl always felt out of place. The house was too small for she and her 7 siblings, winters were too cold, the work in the fields was too hard, she hated to get her hands dirty, it was always the same faces, it was always the same routine, nothing interesting ever happened. She always dreamed of getting out of there, to start a new life far from crops and milking chores. Although she hated her life at the farm, Malgatha always seemed to have a joyous heart, singing and dancing about the village. But one shouldn't be fooled by this cheerful facade. While she looks like an angel in all points, the girl always enjoyed playing tricks on others, enjoying the drama she created as her only entertainment in the morose hamlet. When she finally reached the age of 16, she decided to take off for a better life in a big town, one with stoned path. She travelled to Silverymoon and realized living by herself was much more difficult than she expected. However, her eloquence and her wits allowed her to find a job at the Helmer's Wall tavern. She loved the variety of customers coming to the tavern and she would often eavesdropping their conversations. There, she met with other young people and especially with students from the college of Fochlucan, the bard's school of Silverymoon. The promised free lifestyle and easy money charmed her and she decided to start saving to go study at Fochlucan. After 4 years, she was finally able to enter the bardic college. Studying while working part time at the tavern was tough, but Malgatha has a silver-tongue and she was always good at making "friends" who would be willing to make her presents. During her second year of studies, her love for gossips and mingling in other people's affairs led her to meet some members of the College of Whispers. They told her that if she could improve her talents, she would be able to work for important people who would pay fortunes for her services. She was indeed lured by this prospect and started spending more times with the whisperers doing some little jobs for them. If it was mostly easy information fishing at first, her missions started to become more and more intricate and dangerous as time was going by. Six months ago she was distracting a jeweler with one of her songs while an elven rogue was stealing the keys to his shop. Jewels were stolen and Malgatha was accused by the jeweler. Not enough clues against her and some sweet talk kept her out of trouble for this time. She was asked to befriend an official to get a way of passage inside the high spheres of town, but a certain pearl necklace looked like it would do much better around her own neck... Inexperienced in stealing, she was caught as she was trying to put her hands on the object of her desire, thus earning herself two nights at the guard's post. More recently she had to find a way to get her hands on plans leading to the bank's treasury. However, she picked the wrong target and the clerk trapped her and waited until the critical moment to denounce her to the guards. Her accomplices, more experienced, left quickly unnoticed, leaving her to her fate. This time no amount of tears nor negotiations were enough to make her avoid jail...
That's it for my application, thanks for reading all of it! Hope you have a nice week :)
Your expectations of a table and game: I'd like a friendly group of people who will be interested in a long-term game. Since I'm comparatively new to d&d, there will be mistakes in the gameplay committed from my side. It will be really nice if they excuse me for my frequent errors or rebuff.
Why you think you'd be a good fit for this group, and thus why we should pick you: I put others' welfare before my own, and would often go silent instead of fighting with each other if such kind of situation arises.
Base character concept: Known as 'Cicero', Kallista Danzirge is a wood elf druid/warlock hailing from a nomadic group of people.

Greets ALL!,
I am pumped that you took interest in my up-and-coming campaign. My campaigns tend to move a bit slower in terms of leveling, if that is a main point of fun, this game may not be for you. Min/maxing is less important than solid storytelling. Thus, after reading a few of my core beliefs and receiving the personalized email, let me know if the gameplay style is still desirable. And finally, I hope this is a long-term campaign.

Hi Jasion,
That all sounds cool to me. I sent you a PM a few days ago. If the availabilities work for you, I would love to join your campaign.

Hope you have a nice week :)
i will play with you
