Drakkenheim has fallen, On that fateful night when the meteor from beyond the stars crashed into the city, it caused a wave of destruction, turmoil, and conflict that over time left the capital city in ruins. Upon its arrival, the meteor caused the sprout of a strange and powerful material known as Delirium on the streets of the ruined city, its arcane power fascinates wizards and sorcerers, its high price attracts scoundrels and adventurers, its eldritch origin and foretold arrival inspired a cult of worship, and its blasphemous presence ignited the wrath of the clergy. Meanwhile, the cursed streets are roamed by monstrous and deadly creatures, and the atmosphere around the city has been contaminated, furthermore, powerful factions fight for control over what is left of the ruins. Drakkenheim allures adventurers of all kinds, from those who only seek fame and wealth, to those whose destinies are tied to the city or the meteor itself, in any case, those who answer the call will be the people who will decide the fate of Drakkenheim, whether they seek to rebuild it, destroy it, or change it forever. The fate of the city will be in your hands if you manage to survive the Dungeons Of Drakkenheim.
Adventure Information and Details:
Dungeons of Drakkenheim is a 3rd party adventure module for D&D 5E created by The Dungeon Dudes and published by Ghostfire Gaming, It's a Gothic/Cosmic Horror, Political Intrigue Campaign that takes players from level 1 to level 12 (the starting level can change). It introduces new mechanics that represent how the meteor has affected the atmosphere around the ruined city affecting the ability to rest in it and Levels of Contamination, a side effect of unprotected exposure to Delirium and other sources that will scale in danger the more contaminated you are and it has the possibility of creating mutations of the player characters. Additionally, the campaign also offers a lot of potential for social interactions and political intrigue thanks to the introduction of the main factions that are fighting for power and control over the city, leading players to make fragile alliances with one or more factions and most likely making permanent enemies out of the others. It also offers plenty of options for character motivations, allowing players to tie their characters and their story to the setting, which is good since at the end of the campaign the player's choices will determine the ultimate fate of Drakkenheim. Finally, with the addition of Sebastian's Crowe Guide to Drakkenheim expansion, players will have access to a variety of subclasses designed for the campaign and a new class The Apothecary.
GM Presentation:
Hola, my name is Charly, I am 27 and have been playing TTRPGs for about 6 years. Initially inspired by the show Stranger Things and a few episodes of Critical Role, I got my hands on the starter set box for D&D 5E, (the one that includes the Lost Mine of Phandalver Adventure), and as my first experience with the game, I got to be the GM. It was great, I love the game, I managed to finish the story with my group, and trying to satiate my need for more TTRPG, I turned to online games, and I have been an active GM ever since, It's been about 3 years since I started running paid games, and in that time I have hosted all sorts of games, from one-shots, short-term adventures, and long-term campaigns. I still love the game a lot, it has changed my life in ways I never thought possible and it gave me the chance to meet awesome people from around the world, So I hope I can continue to make fantastic memories with awesome people with this game for years to come.
GM Style:
Game Length: 3 hours.
I feel like this strikes a good balance between having enough time to do RP, combat, and goof around, while not making it too time-consuming, and if possible I usually offer a 5 to 10-minute break in between.
Party Size:
My personal sweet spot is usually 4 or 5 players in a group, however, I have run games with groups from 2 players to 6 players (6 being my limit). So I am okay with running a game with only 2 players, it sometimes allows for more personal and deep experiences. Having 6 players in a group gives the benefit that if multiple people can't make it to a session, we still have enough people in a group to play. To that end, if the group finds itself with only 2 players, I will ask if the players present would like to continue since I have no issue running a game like that, and if the group reaches 5 people, I would ask if the group feel like there is a necessity to add a new player to the group.
Roleplay Level: High.
I love RP, it’s my favorite aspect of the game. I like feeling like I am in a different world, where heroes are great and the tales of their adventures are fantastic, I like immersing myself in in-game conversations, where the party gets to uncover the world and its people through social elements, and perhaps even form bonds with the people that surround them, I like a fantastic description of an action in combat that could add tension and drama to the moment, hopefully increasing its effect, and if I am lucky and doing my job correctly, I get to share the same experiences with my players, since nothing brings me more joy than to see players invested and immerse in a fantastical story we are making together.
Combat Level: Medium.
Although it is not my favorite aspect of the game, I still like combat, it's a good enough way to resolve situations of conflict while allowing players to showcase their more fancy and interesting abilities. To add flavor to my encounters I like to do various things that might add a twist to them to make them a little more interesting, like adding some form of environmental hazard of shifts, showcasing the monster's various strengths or interesting abilities and how would they work in conjunction with one another, and adding additional objectives to accomplish as a way of strategizing a switching focus. And just to be honest here, encounters are not going to feature all three of these methods, and sometimes none might be features, but for the majority of encounters, I do like to spend a good portion of my prep time on ways to improve them even if it's just a little to make them more fun.
Puzzles level: Low.
Admittedly this is the part that I struggle with the most since I don’t have the mind for it, so I often rely on the puzzles given by the adventure, and if necessary I usually go on forums to find an idea I can adapt, or try to find some outside sources to inspire myself (suggestion for sources like internet forums or sourcebooks, will be greatly appreciated). But if at all possible I will try to use the functionality of the VTT to enhance the representation of the puzzle to better help how the puzzle works from a visual standpoint.

Discord for direct Contact: thatcharlydm
Contacting Me:
Discord: By far the best option, add me here: *thatcharlydm*, and I will accept your request ASAP.
Roll 20: You can send a Private Message with your Player Application filled (described below) directly to me at ThatCharlyGuy, Or you could fill out the Player Application and post it on the Player Applications discussion on the Roll 20 page of the respective game.
How to Apply:
Player Application:
The following application format is made with the intention of me knowing a little bit about you as a player, what your preferences, expectations, and things you would want the game to avoid are. It will give me an idea of your preferred playstyle, if it will fit with my general GMing style, and if there are any possible conflicts between those two we can discuss them to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for everyone. You can either post your application in the Player Applications discussion on Roll 20, or you can send it directly to my Discord.
___
Player Application
Username: (aka, the name you want me and players to refer to you as it can be your character name and it doesn’t have to be your real name).
Pronouns: (If there is any preference on how you would like to be addressed).
Discord: (To add you, since the game will be using a discord server).
TTRPG Experience: (Basically how long have you been playing TTRPGs and some of the systems you have played if you want).
What is your favorite aspect of the game: (RP, Combat, Puzzles? If you want you can expand on the question to let me know what specifically you like about that aspect, honestly the more detailed the better because it gives me a better idea of what your preferences are for the game).
Name 1 to 3 things you think GMs do that make their games better.
Name 1 to 3 things GMs do that can ruin a game for you.
Any potential trigger that the group needs to be aware of to avoid during the game?
What about this game interested you in wanting to join?

For Pickup entries.
If you see this listing and want to join on the date of the next session, I will still need you to fill up the application and send it to allow you to join ASAP. However, there is a time limit for you to send your request and application to join on the same day, which is (7:00 PM CST). Any application sent after that can still be considered for the game but will do so on the next week's session, however, if you so wish you can still join the game as a spectator to see how I run my games and for you to see if the game and group are for you. IMPORTANT: This does not apply to Session 0.
Thank you for your time and attention. Have a nice day.
