Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online only. Webcam required. Experience: I've been playing and DMing on and off for the last 5 years. Location/Timezone: I'm in the Alaska/Hawaii timezone. Availability: I'm ready to play in the evenings of Sunday to Tuesday. can pin down exact times when the group is formed and stick with that. Preferred role: DM Game style: I'm using Planescape as the place the adventures happen. I'll be running X-Files style self contained stories that revolve around looking into mysteries and strange occurrences that involve making difficult choices. Any official published ancestry is allowed. Welcome to the Multiverse. I'm open to character concepts that requires some tweaking. No multi classing. If you can't get a PC where you want them to be through a combination of feats and magic items I don't know what to tell you. This won't be newcomer friendly. This campaign will be for players that have some experience and want to have crafting and building your own gear/items be a central pillar of play. For this I'll be using Roll for Combat's Battlezoo Bestiary crafting rules for this process along with introducing some weapon feats that will activate when weapons reach certain levels. The system will ask a bit more of players than vanilla 5e, but players that want to tinker and get into the long term planning and building of their own artifact items will get the most out of the system.
Streamed: No. Absolutely not. Even the audio/video chat will be invite only by default.
This campaign is going to be very flexible. If the party wants to spend more time in a certain area of the multiverse they can. Nothing's stopping you from joining a Devil pirate crew striking from the river Styx or working as professional monster slayers selling rare and hard to get alchemical ingredients to the highest bidder. If players want to do something I'll build more of it. For overall themes though this is not even entertaining the idea of medievalism. The assumptions about combat are still true, but expect a lot of sci-fi creatures and stories to be in the setting alongside more traditional elements. I'll be pulling concepts and plot hooks from things like Numenera. The only absolute restriction I'll put in is I don't want any straight up evil aligned characters. You don't have to be heroic for sure, but there's just some darker stuff I'm just not interested in running or describing.
For encounters I'm running modified theatre of the mind. Battle maps will be posted in chat, but positions'll be more loosey goosey for ease of play.
