I am going to post every now and then for updates to the system I'm building. I don't expect you to participate in the design process, but if you do want to, subscribe to the thread and look out for new updates. Treat this like Unearthed Arcana and give as much feedback as you want.
Quick description of world:
Ushina is a super-continent with a vast majority of beings. From the stock up elf to the sneaky shape-shifting Kitsune, there is a place for everyone. And I mean everyone. For you see, every so often, a creature from another realm shall be reborn in this world as a creature of immense power. I should know, as I decide who goes where. I am the Cardmaster, and welcome, to Ushina.
Game progression:
Level ups in this system are similar to dnd milestones. Whenever a PC completes a story arc, the Cardmaster (AKA GM) can reward them for their bravery with a level up. There are 5 levels in total. This makes it easier for me to make the profession and kind abilities, easier for players to learn these abilities, and so that getting to the highest level for a grand arc (Mini-arcs that come together in a grand finale) campaign would be easier to accomplish and won't take too long.
Battle rules:
Each round of combat lasts 6 seconds
Instead of individual initiative, each team, such as the party and the enemies, have their own collective initiative *this is to make combat more centralized and simpler to remember*
Team initiative is decided by each member of a team rolling a d6, with the highest roll being the team roll. Go from highest roll to lowest during combat.
Those who are on the same team decide who goes first to last *This is for the party to use strategies that would usually be ruined by initiative*
Stats:
Listed below are the primary character stats, their uses, and how to roll them.
1. Knowledge (roll a d6)
1a. knowledge can be used for Mind Saves, which are primarily called upon to see through illusions and such
1b. Some minor uses are perception(To know what you can see with a quick glimpse), history(to recall memories you may have about something), and inspection(When you wish to see something closely) rolls
2. Charm (roll a d6)
2a. Can be used in persuasion(To convince somebody), deception(To lie to somebody), and intimidation(to frighten somebody) rolls
3. Strength (Point-buy system)
3a. Strength can be used for lift saves, which are mostly called upon when they lift or catch something heavy
3b. Used for melee attacks (possibly will be removed to make it less like dnd, but it can stay if you want)
4. Agility (Point-buy system)
4a. Used for Dodge saves, when you need to dodge something
4b. Used for stealth(to sneak), theft(To steal something), and acrobatic(To see if you can stay on your feet) rolls
4c. Used for ranged attacks (possibly will be removed to make it less like dnd, but it can stay if you want)
Point-buy system
During character creation, each character has 6 points to divide between Strength and Agility. Both stats start at 0 before you add these points. Each point will add 1 number to the final score. Below will be shown what the final results mean, which are the same for whatever you roll for Knowledge and Charm.
1 = -3
2 = -2
3 = -1
4 = +1
5 = +2
6 = +3
*If you don't like whatever your character's final stats look lie at the end of character creation, don't worry. At level 2 and 4, you get 3 points you can divide between all of your stats. there is no limit to how high you can make one stat.*
Professions (AKA classes):
Sorcerer - powerful magic users born with their gifts
Thief - stealth masters who work to steal and kill
Barbarian - beings capable of incredible feats of strength
Knight - warriors trained for battle under the command of a higher power
Beastmaster - beings who developed relationships with the creatures of the wild
Performer - musically inclined travelers, playing their instrument wherever they go
Archivist - studiers of ancient magic, whether be dark or good, who will stop at nothing to gain more knowledge
Kinds (AKA races):
Elf - graceful beings that look like humans, but are more elegant and graceful, and don't forget the pointy ears
Gnome - short creatures that also look like humans, but have an unnatural curiosity towards machinery and magic
Dwarf - another short kind that looks like humans, but have bushier beards and love stones
Human - just a human, like you and me
Catfolk - creatures with cat-like features, grace, and agility
Wolfmen - werewolves but are always in hybrid form and have complete control
Kitsune - fox-like creatures who enjoy trickery and love shiny objects
Demigod - mortal children of gods
Orc - large being of great physical skill, but little to no brains
Demonspawn - mortal children of demons
Spider - large spiders that are more sentient than the average monster
Goblin - another small kind who are particularly violent to those they fear
Packling - humans whose bodies were altered by a deal they made with a higher being
*Later on, I shall edit this so that each profession and kind has a link to a google doc with their stats (which may be changed based on feedback) written. I might even add more professions and/or kinds*
A funny idea for this setting; The party consists of non-player characters from any other Isekai game, and the main villains are the Isekai party.

Fully Homebrew Campaign, feel free to explore it! (Otherworlds inaccessible) YonStore/Wolf&Rat - Siberius "Sie" Phynxx, Zalanthaar Heavensfield, Keilynn Othraph; Fallout D&D - Zach Koch; Last of Us D&D - Leveth; Town of Agreal - Zalanthaar Heavensfield; Scrap Pile - Æshe; Site-72 - Dr. Elias Shaw; The Electric State - Zachariah; Eris' Fortune - Magi (Maykaa, Mage, Sage); The Nightmare Hold - Keilynn Othraph; Lord's Rest Inn - Lokan'Ahri
Seems pretty neat. One class I would like to see though would be a variation of the Thaumaturge from Pathfinder 2e.
Based on a quick look, the Thaumaturge seems to fit the curious scientist role. Is that correct?
Sort of. They're a bit more of an occultist that knows a little bit about all the dark stuff in the world. It's my favorite class in any game, except for the Antiquarian from Darkest Dungeon, but she would be hard to model in a TTRPG.

I think Bard may stay the same, maybe make it closer to a "That" bard kind of thing, given how most Isekai are.

Elaborate?
Like all the players were once peacefully living their lives until the Isekai protag showed up and 'saved' the world. The story picks up after the Isekai MCs vanquish the Great Evil and the Non-playable characters, now the PCs, must recuperate from the damages.
The MC is now the Great Evil, having taken all of the women into his mega-harem, etc.

Yeah, I don’t feel comfortable making that kind of thing a profession. I’m fine with it in anime, but I’m not making it here. I could make a performer one though.
