They watch curiously, with a couple of them starting to descend down towards the City while others continue to circle above.
The men seem to be looking for something. The drakes that continue to circle notice that there is a mountain nearby, with a temple on top and numerous floating platforms around it.
A Couple Drakes land on top of buildings and observe, seeing if they can discover the Greater Wills the City's citizens revere and what the shadowy figures are up too, while a couple others fly towards the temple to explore there.
The shadowy figures seem to be scratching marks onto the walls and doors of houses. The marks are in the spoiler.
The temple has more shadowy men, along with people wearing different masks, still full-face, but metal and shaped like a crescent moon. These, the drakes decide, must be warriors.

Savut is searching for the Gravediggers with her star in hand.
Balatro is wherever Faltros is, regardless of how the fight is going.
Dvela drifts along the River.
Lantern drakes would have recieved some radiant swords from Mephilia so they can be given to Savut's allies. They do the same damage as longswords but deal radiant damage instead of normal slashing. The two Greater Wills infused several of their drakes with power, transforming them into Void Drakes, Moonstone Drakes, and Mithril Drakes. They all have radiant breath weapons.
*Using the Void, Crystal, and Moonstone Wyrmling stats for them, all CR 2*
*and now it is time* far away from the domains of man and other gods a hidden volcano erupts, changing the very land for miles on end. The once calm grasslands and lush forests now burnt to ashes. Yet it does not stay this way as quickly as it was burned it regrows, but in a hellish way, as living flames rush through forests of perpetually burning and regrowing trees. Foréir has gained the domain of life. This is the never ending wildfire
*Cool. He was one of the gods that has died, right? The valley was once his domain?*
*yep! He was the god of tons of things, mostly happiness and bliss, as well as peaceful afterlives, food, celebrations, and mind altering plants. His people still worship him despite his death and likely will continue to do so. Also his death caused tons of Stuff to happen, including the creation of the crown of slaughter and the red festival. Which god should I do next…*
*Oh, good question. I'm still trying to figure out who all the players are myself. Any domains that haven't been used a lot, or that you are interested in creating something around?*
*Domains that haven’t been used a lot are mostly the elemental ones, they’ve mostly only been used once or twice and I think the only one currently using the wild domain who is Alive is mostly inactive, so that one’s probably open. A few others too. I’m interested on possibly creating something related to a combination of Decadence/Fear and then also Water/Strife, being a sea goddess of vanity. Have an idea for how both of them could come to be but it would be complicated and I might require some assistance to create an appropriate origin story I’m going for*
*A Vain Sea Godess would be fun, could take some inspiration from Umberlee from the Forgotten Realms, she'd probably be annoyed that she didn't create the sea first. XD*
*What would the Decadence/Fear god/Goddess be like?*
*oh yeah ha that’d be funny. I’d lean into the more monstrous side of the ocean and she’d be kinda like Tamatoa, the giant crab from Moana that hoards treasure on its back, creating Sea monsters to guard her treasures. She’d have the appearance of some sort of crab/Merperson/Jellyfish. Thing*
*not sure if I want them to be a greater will fully yet, maybe something more along the lines of a ‘lesser will,’ like a minor demon lord. But they would be a sort of mob boss, running a criminal guild. They would fill the third slot of a certain sort of theme I have related to creatures created by Herionidus’ death. The first two themes are, “Suffering can Bring happiness,” with the gravediggers, “suffering brings only suffering,” with the crown of slaughter,” and the third one, the decadence and fear god, would be, “only happiness can bring happiness,“ sort of aligning with Herionidus’ original goals: alleviate all human suffering. They would invite people into their guild, granting them all they want… in exchange for favors, gold, and loans and stuff. Not exactly good people*

The gravediggers have all met up just outside of their crypt, ready to flee to safety if Savut and her allies get any closer.
A bronze bird with flames in its eyes watches them
One of the gravediggers notices them and snarls, trying to scare them away.
It continues to watch them. Even flying a little closer
Once it gets near the great tree of Herionidus, which is over 200 feet tall, with blood red leaves, cherry wood and bright pink flowers, it hears a low rumbling sound. Coming from the tree.
