Question: Since Hydras are technically dragons, do you also support the False Hydra?
Well, actually, they're monstrosities.
If I were in the club, I would say yes anyway, but I'm actually not and just pop in once every couple months.
In DND, yes, but in mythology they are considered draconic in origin. Also have you ever listened to the ‘Lullaby of the False Hydra’?
Actually, The Hydra was a snake, or at least a serpent. Not a dragon, though Ladon, who is a similar monster of Greek mythology, is considered a dragon, and was fabled to have a hundred heads

Yo, I'm Himy (He/him) not as active as I use to be, but I'm here from time to time. I don't got much else to say.

This is one of the lore paragraphs from the Monster Manual about Hydras….
“At the dawn of time, Tiamat, the Queen of Evil Dragons, slew a rival dragon god named Lernaea and cast her blood across the multiverse. Each drop that fell upon a world spawned a multi-headed hydra consumed by a hunger as great as the fallen god’s hatred."

So I could see them being considered dragonkin.
They also fit a few dragon checks and more. Have some kind of breath weapon (if I remember correctly, the Greek one breathed poisonous gas), scaly, intelligent and territorial, and if you think about it, Hydras are Drakes with more heads and a multiplicative healing factor. PLUS bottom left.

From a pop culture standpoint, yeah, hydras would be considered a dragon (Though they don’t really fit the whole intelligence thing, and being territorial is frankly dependent on who you ask)

*I would say Kirin are closer to Wyverns based on Monster Hunter’s classification of them. Although I agree with everything else entirely.*

That’s why dragon classification gets messy real quick the moment you try to look at various source in fiction and mythology.

Even that diagram has some issues depending on what you classify as a dragon. Specifically around the wyrm and serpentine area

Welp, looks like we are going to war. Aunty Coronet is ready for the chaos.....and the new tongues and bones she can add to her hoard. I don't think I have goose tongues or bones yet, so they will be quite the delightful addition. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
I forgot they have teeth on their tongues, which makes her want them more. Now I need to make a Dragon stat block with a serrated tongue attack.
Auntie Coro seems like a cool person. I might want to chat sometime.
It might have to be in sign language, but I'd still like to do it sometime.
Yeah, she is a fun character to rp. I plan on eventually making a full set of stat blocks so my players can battle her, but it wouldn't be until much later because she is a powerful Mythical Monster.

Same. Its soothing in a creepy way until you realize what the words mean, then it’s smoothing in a scary way.
Hi, I’m DrakenBrine, here’s my Sig and characters

Does she really want these things in her hoard?
Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.

I believe in wyvern superiority
I prefer lung dragons.

Elder Scrolls would agree with you as well.
I'm also partial to Lindwyrms myself.
