The Squire wanders across it. He looks up at the apples. He looks down at the graves. He pulls a holy symbol out of his jacket, then jumps over the graveyard in an attempt to grab an apple.
The Apple is easy enough to grab, but you hear something rustle behind you. It’s a girl, somewhere in her teenage years, very clearly dead with her pale skin. Her short crop of coal-black hair ends just below her chin, and she wears practical work clothes fit for a graveyard keeper. Something seems familiar about her… the locket, the watery brown eyes, the slight tinge of decomposition on her skin…
He turns to see her, then looks somewhat horrified. He clutches the holy symbol to his side and silently offers the apple back.
"Oh, hi" the graveyard keeper puts down her shovel. "You can have that if you want, it's alright" *she's baaaaaaaaack*

The Lantern Hound lunges towards Helianth, it’s jaws burning with a lifeless flame. The cultist riding atop it begins to chant in an unknown language.
To hit: 20 damage: 30 slashing, magical, of course.
Meanwhile, the Barley king silently slips away…
*Sorry about the delay. Time for Helianth to test out those new godly powers we gave it.*
The hound's jaws find purchase in the god-eater's arm, biting into and entirely through with the sound of metal grinding against bone. Golden ichor streams from the wound, lighting the undergrowth ablaze where it lands, as Helianth screeches in pain. A few seconds later, its arm completely regenerates (it regenerates 50 HP each turn unless exposed to its anathemas from being Divine Rank 0).
The divine glutton retaliates with a Quickened Fire Shield, wreathing itself in brilliant golden flames, before using its main action to strike at the Lantern Hound with its blazing roots (20 to hit, 12 bludgeoning damage plus 8 fire damage). Afterwards, it uses its once-per-round Godly Action- Kill the Lights- drawing in all warmth and light around them. The hound and its rider both need to make DC 26 Constitution saving throws, taking 15 cold damage plus 16 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a successful one, and all light sources within the radius are extinguished unless they are directly fueled by divine power.
The attack hits, and the lantern hound shrieks in pain.
(I’m having the rider and hound count as one creature for this.)
con save: 10
either way, the spectral flames that light the skull of the hound go out, and it lets out this… unearthly scream.
it spends its turn dashing 100 feet away. Footsteps- other hounds, perhaps, can be heard throughout the now dark forest.

*Divine rank is a little system I use for making characters of godlike power, such as my god of winter hospitality Vanilla, and it basically just takes a preexisting character and supercharges them. Yvonne and I used it to turn Helianth into an elder evil. You saw what Helianth was capable of.*

*for Platypus- about the Sun- Autumn Country’s sun is not a true star, so Helianth was not able to consume it. About the hellish summer instead of winter- Helianth is not only feeling spiteful, but also would be able to get more food in the form of light if the Autumn country was summer.*

The crooked god watches the hound flee, before what may possibly be others. It quickly rushes in the direction of the sound, its fire shield and ambient flames lighting the path as it storms through the forest. If it sees any more Lantern Hounds, it gets within 20 feet of as many of them as it can and uses Kill the Lights a second time, forcing all in the area to make the same Constitution saves and extinguishing their flames.
*edit: I forgot the damage for Kill the Lights. 17 cold damage plus 13 necrotic damage on a failed save, half as much on a success.*
*His archmage stats are based on the 2024 Lich stats, so he wouldn't be able to stand up to Helianth at all, but he might be able to team up against it.*

*October. Season Of Fear;
and the time of the grounds I was forged on, made in!
The wind, the silence. The trees decay, as we all do, as we watch. Those are how, when, and where I was created, where I began life;
And so every year beyond that start, it continues.
I am granted gifts by those who follow me, and so, I continue, and I thrive, as the world twists a golden orange, and a deep red.
The unsettling chill of the night, no pain, but it makes you wonder if it will cause some.
If something is watching. That is where I live, that is why I was born.
I am what watches in the Season Of Fear and I am what is gifted what I request.
I rise, I walk, I crawl. I thrive in this season of which I was birthed.
I am the fear, I am beyond the mind.
I am what waits for you, what comes to us all; That is why I was created.
October. Season Of Fear.*
*Did I just make a strange lil poem saying 'October is my birthday'? Yeah lol*
Sig but long ^w^
