As lights are snuffed around the city, the large church bell tolls, signaling the start of curfew. Knights on cavalry start to patrol the streets, clad in golden armor with great shields and spears. All the villagers scurry back to their houses or the nearest residence. A knight trots by the tavern and shouts to shut it down for the night, and that we know the rules.
Bill nods and starts sniffing out the candles throughout the tavern. “You can all stay inside, but we keep the lights off from here forward. Either that, or go home.”
