To be honest I have no idea where to put this but I really wanted to see how players would fare against this boss I made for a campaign that is fairly old now and I just needed to test this. 5 players, all level 6 or 7 (preferably seven ) feel free to go crazy with your builds and you can get 2 magic items of very rare or less or one that is above very rare so long as it makes sense and isn't a legendary. Ok, so for some additional information, the way I run combat is very descriptive with players having the ability to make perception checks as a bonus action to gain more info on an opponent or the environment. Enemies also typically have many unique mechanics and abilities and often bosses have phases or patterns of actions that I have listed down that I typically don't ever outright reveal but almost always have some clever way to exploit weaknesses against the bosses.
The boss is known as the Driller Queen or the Chasme Matriarch because 1) it's part driller ant found in the abyss 2) it mutated into the first ever Chasme ant after eating an old skeleton of a long since extinct powerful monster. It often has many ants harvesting food for it and can summon both soldiers and worker ants which each have their own strengths with the workers being able to very quickly reshape earth and secrete both an acid that breaks down earth and something that causes the goop to near instantly solidify, essentially letting them earthbend. And secondly the Chasme soldiers who emit pheromones that force the brain to produce excessive amounts of melatonin in the body and halt the production of adreniline on top of being a sedative that weakens muscles; essentially walking tranquilizer clouds that can tear you apart.
Loud sounds have been said to rattle the pheromone receptors and the locomotive parts of the ants brains and the pheromone and saliva of the ants feels oily and smells similar to eucalyptus, sap and dung.

Do you have any character creation rules or is it just level 20 any source, any method of stat generation, and 2 magic items very rare or less?

I won't be specific on which property it is specifically, but should you find something that can overlap on both(though certain kinds of sap don't have the property) and you can apply it to something as a dentremental weakness in terms of damaging it, then you've probably got it right.
Sorry for being an absolutely enormous nerd.

Level. Seven. Any. Source. Your choice on generation method.
Also 2 magic items of very rare and below or 1 that's above(excluding legendary items)
