Verdell and Agnomally, you both notice very easily that the rose light that is coming from the end of the hallway has gotten a lot more intense. But everyone seems to have left the room, so you have no idea what could be triggering it.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
On his turn, he continuea running after the shadow and once he engages in melee, he speaks a magic word to activate his sword's fire rune. The rune on the sword's blade starts to glow and then the sword lights up in blazing fire. The sword deals 1d6 extra fire damage now.
He then makes three attacks (Extra Attack and Haste), with the first one being a Booming Blade.
Attack: 13 Damage: 23
Attack: 15 Damage: 19
Attack: 22 Damage: 22
I'll post the next round in a bit, but isn't Arthilas only supposed to have two attacks? Booming Blade costs an action to cast, and then you get only your extra attack and haste attack, if I understand everything correctly. Additionally, does activating the fire rune on the sword take up any time? Like a bonus action, or anything?

The bladeseinger's special Extra Attack lets him cast a cantrip and make a weapon attack, and booming blade gives you an attack, so it basically amounts to two attacks with a boost on one. Then there's the haste attack.

"Do you think we should check that out? Was the shadow trying to draw us away from something cool?" Agnomally asks Verdell. "Or is it something to run away from? Maybe the shadow was trying to help us by leading us away from it? What do you think?"

(For clarity, which end of the hallway is the rosy light coming from? The end we came in from or where the trapped room was?)

Arthilas: You attack of opportunity slashes right through the shadow, proving unsuccessful. However, your next few attacks seem to hit! It shies away from the first attack, but the second and third strike true! It screeches in pain as it begins to slink away!
Zuli: Make a Perception check!
Strange Shadow: The strange shadow bolts forward another 20 ft., out of melee range, and slinks behind a bookcase, out of sight!
If any of you decide to try and find the shadow, make a Perception check!
Ea & Bolt: I believe you're correct. But now, it's gone forward another 20' and out of sight!
By the way, do either of you have Darkvision?
Darklis: Unfortunately, the shadow moved away just as you arrived! However, the torch you lit will make it significantly harder for the shadow to hide!

Arthilas tries to make another opportunity attack as the shadow leaves his reach.
Attack: 29 Damage: 18
He tries to follow the shadow where it went. He has darkvision (and see invisibility). Perception: 17
Arthilas: The opportunity attack hits! Despite it's best efforts to hide from you, you haven't lost it yet! It's hiding in the crevice of a bookshelf.
So you attack again, and again, and again! And all three attacks hit! It doesn't feel like you're hitting anything---considering it's incorporeal--- but it writhes in pain as you hit your mark!
Zuli: Can make a move
Shadow: Gonna wait for everyone to post their action!
Ea & Bolt: Will fly for about 55 ft, can see the shadow from where they are.
Darklis: Can still make a move
Clementine: Moral support! Is there anything else you'd like to do?

Though you're not sure of whether or not that was the same thing they were all chasing after earlier, something definitely is off.
The shadow doesn't look sheer, like you'd think most shadows would. It's a solid black. The edges of the shadow falls away in wisps of smoke.
Verdell, if you approach the shadow to look at it, you notice that this shadow is definitely different than the one you saw before. But considering that you didn't get a very good glimpse of the previous shadow, you don't know what the difference is.
Unless you want to be seen by the shadow, both of you roll for Stealth!
