"what If its to all but the warforged, skeleton, and magmin? warforged and skeletons dont need water to live, and magma and water dont mix" the half-dragon says, mainly to his psudodragon as he grabs poles and moves them towards the ones suggested.

In response to Kay, he says, "It seems that if we put too many poles in, the water won't even be able to reach the ones that (presumably) need water flowing into them. It's at least worth a shot to only have poles under the ones that need water (fish, kraken, maybe lizardfolk)." Half to the room in general, and half to himself, he says, "I also wonder if pulling the poles out slightly change the water pressure, so that we can aim the water to go into the mouths...." George sinks into thought for a moment, pondering the message on the door, before his head snaps back up. "What if all we have to do is offer the water to the heads? Not even get it to them... no, that doesn't make sense; the heads don't seem to have any kind of magical properties.... But maybe we can just dump water down their mouths?"
"Thoughts?"
"That's what i was originally thinking," Kay says in response to pulling the poles out slightly. "I think the Half-dragon may be right about the creatures that don't drink. We could try puting the poles under the fish, kraken, and the lizardfolk only then see where the water falls. If it still isn't going into their mouths, we could place it under the creatures that do drink and not the ones that don't."
Kay will remove the poles under any creature other than the fish, kraken, and lizard. "If this doesn't work, we can try the reverse like what George said."
"think about it, the sea creatures aren't the thirsty ones, the ones who can't drink might be. I know what I said before, but now with further thinking, it might be right"
the half-dragon keeps up his beliefs, mainly because he actually wants to believe it.

Angelino will pick up some water in his hand and dribble it into the kraken head.
Edit: spelling
You attempt to scoop up some of the water, but it seems no matter how tightly you cup your hands, the water just won't stay in them. After throwing a huff doesn't help, you conclude that the water may be enchanted somehow to prevent you from scooping it.
Kay will remove the poles under any creature other than the fish, kraken, and lizard. "If this doesn't work, we can try the reverse like what George said."
With only 3 poles in, the water is arcing well clear of the heads and splashing into the room, which is now moving from "Puddle" to "Flood", being about a foot deep by the rack and now an inch or so deep at the other end of the room.
Svarn attempts to lift the poles up a bit, so that it lands in the heads
The poles are being pushed into the holes which are just under the heads, horizontally into the wall below them, and when pushed all the way in, they cause a jet of water to shoot from the middle of the pool and over the top of the heads. The jet seems to be affected by how many poles are pushed in. Pulling up on the pole doesn't have any effect!
Kay places poles under the owlbear, panther and eagle.
You add these three poles, as well as the three in the Lizardfolk, Fish and Kraken. Three more water jets come out from the middle of the fountain, and the pressure reduces further. The water is now just splashing on the crest of the kraken, and the fin of the fish, and is just missing the other heads as it splashes into the growing pool of water around your feet.

Alexander's head hurts, both from the beating he received in the statue room, and trying to figure out this puzzle. "Is anyone else worried about the fact that the water level around us is rising? We may want to consider taking all of the poles out and rethinking this situation if we don't solve the puzzle soon."

Angelino will take out the one for the eagle.
You remove the pole from the Eagle and the water pressure increases as the jet above the eagle stops, sending the water arcing further from the other 5 heads with poles in, splashing into the deepening flood on the floor.
Svarn takes a couple poles out, so that the water wasnt as pressurized as it was
You remove the Fish and the Owlbear, leaving the Kraken, Lizardfolk and Panther. The 3 remaining jets increase in pressure, rather than decrease, arcing over your head and onto the floor behind you.

"I think that might be the way to go, at least for now." If no one objects, George will start taking all of the poles out so we can have more time to think this through.
"If all else fails, I can give us water breath, but I don't know if we'd still be able to get out."

Svarn growls, and rams them back in as he tried to get it just right
~I feel that the result of these two would probably be Svarn pushing them back in, causing the pressure to drop as 2 more jets come out, briefly splattering the foreheads of the heads before George removes the poles altogether, causing each jet to increase in pressure until the last pole is removed, where it hisses to a stop. Somewhere deep below you, there is a soft gurgle, then eveything is still. The water on the floor is now about 9 inches deep at the door and a foot and a half deep by the rack, but is no longer filling up.

Hello! I’m Harmony the tiefling bard!
Harmony seems rather perplexed by this room.
‘Well how about we divide them into categories:
Lives in water: Fish, Kraken, maybe lizardfolk
Non-water animals: Owlbear, Panther, Eagle
Land monsters: Goblin, Ogre
Inorganic: Warforged, skeleton
Fire based: Magmin, Dragon
Do any of them have different expressions? (Perception 22 Investigation 8)
Only spilt the party if you see something shiny.
