Hey, folks, just been working on a ranger variant that relies on movement as it's main mechanic for damage rather than a favored foe/hunter's mark class feature. It's unplaytested so far, so the math has to still be worked out, but wanted to post it as a concept build. I still have to work on the capstone, and would rework subclasses so that they don't boost damage apart from the agility class feature, and subclass features will be redesigned to interact with the main class feature. The damage dice and other factors can also be adjusted as needed, but let me know what you think of the general idea!
Hey, thanks for the question, fixed the text to just represent movement. The ability uses concentration with the conditional requirements of moving to add damage, so you're not always going to be able to get the extra damage, and has an action economy cost. By movement action, I just meant moving on your turn, but I realize now that that 5e terminology does not include movement action really. Thanks for bringing up that detail!

What's a "movement action"?
