Edit: NEVERMIND! IGNORE! I'm blind as a bat and found the line I kept reading passed. "When you do so, choose a number of cleric spells equal to your Wisdom modifier + your cleric level (minimum of one spell)."

With a Wisdom of 16, your list of prepared spells can include six spells of 1st or 2nd level, in any combination. If you prepare the 1st-level spell cure wounds, you can cast it using a 1st-level or 2nd-level slot. Casting the spell doesn’t remove it from your list of prepared spells.
Why mention Wisdom of 16?
In previous editions, a high Wisdom granted you extra spell slots or spells known - but in 5e that has fallen away. So is this a vestige of play testing or prior versions? Because I find it's inclusion confusing as it has nothing to do with how many spells you can prepare. Or does it?
Rule for drama. Roll for memories. If there isn't a meaningful failure condition, do not roll. Ever. (Perception checks, I'm .... clunk, roll, roll, roll, stop... 14, looking at you... maybe?)
