Okay first off and foremost, currently, I am playing around with a combined version of Savage world and Dungeons & Dragons 5/3 just because I like the dice being your stats and you can deliver pretty decent amount of damage when you're strength is a maximum of the 12, plus whatever weapon that your melee weapons dice is determines your damage. Not to mention also. It kinda changes the AC system.
That said, I'm using the a Ranger of swarm, for a concept of adding some ideas for some really cool Ranger mechanics for melee skills, as you have the ability to transform into these insects, some of them are naturally poisonous, so I was thinking while what if you can handle some of your natural venoms, I mean you transform into a scorpion, you should be able to conjure up this toxin on top of your own blade, or sprinkle it onto an arrow or two. It still counts as needing some spells. Not to mention also. This way, my Rangers not constantly turning into a creature that nobody else can communicate with! Seriously, I'd the entire moment where my Ranger turned into a giant scorpion, I had the other character(Wizard)With my Ranger communicating with only her snapping claws.
Oh, and to figure out what my setting is it's fantasy, I'm combining legend of Zelda with slime Hunter and Pokémon. Basically replace all Pokémon with slimes.
