Instead of making new rules for monsters from previous editions that hadn't been updated yet they decided to make completely new ones. I wanted things like the Star Dragon, Giant Praying Mantis or Eye of Shadow to get updated.
I'm also disappointed with how they half-assed the player races like Tieflings which should've had multiple infernal and abyssal types for each Archdevil and Demonlord respectively but they just made one for each.

So you basically wanted them to be like the 2014 wizard/cleric subclasses? Sounds like a terrible idea to me.
What I'm saying is there's no Graz'zt Tieflings for example. 2014 had Tieflings for every Archdevil but none for Demonlords while 2024 did even less than that.

They were a wasted opportunity in so very many ways. This is one of a multitude.

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.

How many people do you think feel the same as you?
Alot, I guess.
You probably should've made this a poll, and, you know, a question.

The 2014 phb didn't have multiple tieflings.
What are you talking about?
The Swordcoast Adventurers Guide and Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes has them.
That was something they added either in the SCAG or MToF. They actually tripled the tiefling options compared to the 2014 PHB.
I guess we'll have to homebrew abyssal Tiefling legacies by adding the traits from the infernal tiefling legacies?
Perhaps we should expect an updated scag to have them rather than demanding them upfront.
I'm not sure if that's happening considering how many monsters from other books they put in the new Monster Manual.
We are getting an updated Forgotten Realms Player's Guide later this year.
Edit: We have already seen the first UA with updated Subclasses for it.
