I’ve been trying to make a calendar for my world, but no ideas are coming up. Here are some details about my world; Two stars, Drunlailt and Ashkalim, three moons, Usmoepra, Iacarro, and Yepria, two rings around the planet, and Iaphriel, the gas giant it orbits. (I’m sorry if my grammar is crap, I suck at using semicolons.)
That is a complicated orbital structure. Any kind of calendar based on solar or lunar orbits would be a nightmare. I would save myself the headache and just adopt the "Earth" calendar using dropped in names for days, months, and holidays. Keep it simple for your players. They already have a lot of new and different information to establish "This is another world" vibe. Too many strange elements can break the verisimilitude of your world. A recognizable calendar structure would help to ground the world to something familiar.
