The feawild and shadowfell crossing are created by areas of positive or negative energy. Necromancy uses zombies which use negative energy to work. Uncontrollable zombies will kill things with positive energy ie people. People feel negative about people being killed.
If all of the above are true then zombies might be a larger threat then they seem. It can start small a necromancer using zombies to do work necromancy is very efficient and animate dead is only third level. Now If necromancy continues in this town a portal to shadowfell will be made and at that point the trouble starts. Uncontrolled undead start walking into the area now the town needs necromancers or some way to fight them off. People die in the fight which leads to more negative energy which leads to more undead and so forth. After a time the negative energy that the undead have keeps the portal open on its own. Facing the undead hordes of the shadowfell the town falls and undead are free to travel. As time goes on more and more portal are created by the amount of undead allowing them an entire dimension of reinforcements
What I want to know is do you think this is reasonable.
the theory has been debunked by the 6thLyranGuard
“Undead are powered by negative energy, yes. But not even the presence of a lich or mummy lord's lair is enough to breach the boundary between the Prime Material World and the Shadowfell by itself, most of the time, and they're both exponentially more powerful than zombies”.
Well, the only sticking points I see are that zombies are rather slow and once people realize what's going on they can usually flee from them fairly easily, especially if they have horses. And also, it usually takes a heck of a lot more to open a permanent conduit to another plane that just some bad vibes caused by a few deaths.

"Canon" is what's factual to D&D lore. "Cannon" is what you're going to be shot with if you keep getting the word wrong.

It does take some unusual circumstances for the portal to happen that part is the weakest part of the theory. I don’t know a lot about portal mechanic but undead are explicitly powered by negative energy and shadowfell is close to the negative Energy dimension
If zombies gain the critical amount to make those portals then their slowness would be an advantage because more reinforcement could join them.
The bad vibes aren’t what makes the portal the undead that the necromancer has makes the portal. The bad vibes do expand the portal and we could assume the more necromancy would be used to be ready for the next attack.

A necromancer could certainly use zombies as part of a plot to cause a breach, but just having them roaming around wouldn't be enough.

Ok theory is debunked. But I still have to wonder why the gods of the realm are against it

Most Gods don't like their living servants being turned into mindless undead. There is also the fact that being undead can keep the creature from going to it's rightful afterlife(again, as a servant of their God). That seems reason enough to me.

Sort of like a demonic incursion, but for undead?
