The aim, come up with an Evil character that is actually playable in a group without causing too much disruption.
The outcome, he's a psychopath (a person who has no feeling for other people, does not think about the future, and does not feel bad about anything they have done in the past), he considers himself Neutral Good, but the end justifies the means. In reality I'd class him as Neutral Evil but he's starting to learn how to fit in.
Still building the character, being the Obsessive Compulsive type, when I create a new character I plan his career from Level 1 to level 20 in fine detail (not set in stone but a game plan). currently working on Lvl 10 where he is Paladin6 / Warlock4.

BACKSTORY - I was born to a noble family from the Giantspire Mountain region of Impiltur, I was isolated from my human family as I was obviously Aasimar. My Angelic Guide Mykiel, loyal to the Demigod Anhur, had no idea how the world worked forever advising me to do stupid things like forgive.
Excelling at combat, I was enrolled in the Most Holy Order of the Sacred Shrike and was sent back to the Giantspire Mountains, with my mentor Malark to train and fight Hobgoblins and Orcs. It was here that I found my purpose in life, to destroy all the evil humanoid races.
I was initiated to become a Paladin of Ilmater and will swear my oath of conquest to him when I am ready. I was out scouting when I found a small band of Orcs trading with a human hamlet for arms, there weren't many, so I killed the Ors and then everyone in the traitorous hamlet.
When I reported back, they tried to arrest me for killing the 3 traitorous human families. I escaped and made my way towards the Sword Coast. Just outside of Orogoth on the High Moor Mykiel withdrew her support and I fell.
I continued on my way to Waterdeep and I have attached myself to a party of adventurers so I can continue my purpose, but I have learnt my lesson, most people don't understand that "The outcome is all, the method is irrelevant", so I will be the perfect companion, helping them with their petty desires and in turn they will help me with my purpose.
I am fairly new to this so not expecting to get good reviews, but your comments and constructive criticism are welcome. That's the way you really WIN :)

I'm curious about your Angelic Guide. Is your DM going to lean into that or leave it up to you? It feels like for simplicity and consistency you might consider having the guide and the character serving the same deity.
The Mental Illness vs Alignment thing - that's a bit problematic, but again, I'm mostly interested in the guide. Are they there like Jiminy Cricket just telling him the right thing to do, but the kid never listens? Are they frustrated? Have they given up?

It is a point though, I've looked everywhere and can't come up with were a fallen Aasimar's power comes from, do they get picked up by a fiend or is the power internal and they just get left alone

That is why I decided to go with Psychopath rather than Sociopath as they are more likely to be able to fit in as their problem is lack of emotion rather than anger driven. (kill someone have a cup of tea, same emotional content for them)
The half Orc would be an interesting one, because he's half Human, and has the character learnt from his mistake of killing humans ?
The Goblin yes problem :) fortunately this character isn't Adventure League compatible so won't be playing strangers :)

As a DM who runs in the Realms I would raise my eyebrow at Paladin of Conquest of Ilmater. Lawful Good deity of compassion, martyrdom and self suffering to whom usually the oppressed pray hardly strikes as an ideal patron of someone who "seeks glory in conquest and subjugating their enemies".

I was looking for a deity that would dismiss him out of hand and drop him straight to Oathbreaker, procedurally a bit tentative I admit, but Ilmater was never going to accept :)
Looking at it form a really generic perspective, I guess it will depend quite a bit on your group composition - but you did say you wanted an evil character that does not cause too much disruption.
I get the feeling that the absolute and unrelenting focus on your outcome could become an issue if it isn't bendable in any way. Even if your DM is up for it and workign with you to manage the flow, you could quite quickly find yourself in a situation where other members of the party will find your actions to obtain the goal so morally reprehensible that it becomes hard to move forward as a group.
I guess it also depends on whether you are planning a long campaign, but unless the other characters in the party have similar inclinations, it will become really challenging to continue working with the character (e.g. they might let cruelty and carelessness in the chase of the goal slide once - but when it becomes a pattern, it will be challenging!)
Having said that, I can see the fun challenge in playing the character, but recommend some kind of bendable trait in bond, ideal, or flaw such as a slightly deeper rooted desire for acceptance or e.g. the stringent training in combat made you obsessive about not only mastering combat, but protecting anyone in your party - and you will punish yourself dearly for failure (e.g. anyone in the group getting seriously damaged, falling into a surprise attack) - jut like back in the training grounds. This might be construed by most as a form of regret, but to your character it is simply a cold calculated form of continuing to hone your skills through a rigorous punishment/reward scheme - now managed and administered by yourself rather than your trainer.

I was also going to point out that a Paladin of Ilmater doesn't fit your character's ideology lol. But in your initial post, you made it sound like your character is still planning to take the oath, but then you say you want the god to drop your character? I'm wondering why your character is still wanting to take the oath, if he doesn't really follow its ideals, anyway? A paladin strongly believes in the dogma of the god they follow (especially in the Realms, where the gods are very real), so if your character doesn't really share the views of Ilmater, why swear the oath in the first place? Unless this is all part of the character's past and has already happened? I'm just confused by "will swear my oath"" , as it sounds like it hasn't happened.
Also, love the name Mykiel (I like gods and celestial stuff).
