With the release of the new Draconic Options UA, I've been itching to make/play a Dragonborn with this UA. It comes with a revised version of the Dragonborn & Kobold races, 3 new feats, and 7 new dragon-themed spells (All of which are available to Sorcerer & Wizard). But I'm unsure on what classes/builds work well with this race. Obviously there's the oh-so-famous Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer, but what other concepts do you guys have? Melee-spellcasters, Breath-weapon-warriors, all ideas are welcome!
EDIT: I'm not necessarily looking for optimized builds, just fun/interesting ones.
I think my favorite combination would be a Bladesinger Wizard. It isn't necessarily optimized, but the Bladesinger can replace one attack with a cantrip, and the Dragonborn can replace one with a breath weapon, so by using both in the same action, it could take the "Attack" action, and never lift its weapon. Unfortunately, since the Dragonborn's breath weapon is Proficiency Bonus per Long Rest, it isn't really worth building a fighting style around it.
However, the Metallic Dragonborns 20ft push breath opens up some interesting options...
