Purely as a creative thought experiment, what is your favorite RAW character build which is situationally mechanically busted? I have a few, and I'm sure you do too.
For example, Enchantment Wizard 3/Artificer 2: lock down a medium-to-large-sized creature using hypnotic gaze and thrust them into your bag of holding (which you can create daily via infusions) then tear the bag (banishing your unfortunate victim to the astral plane).
one of my personal thoughts is that any build that is more than one class is mechanically deficient more or less by default. There are some great combos but you will find yourself lacking compared to the single class character of the same amount of levels. those that go with a third even more so. Lots of great little things but none of the big things a single class can have
Pure Shepherd Druid where you upcast Conjure Animals for velociraptors. Hard to be a bigger scumbag than the guy spending 20 minutes rolling raptor attacks to deal 50+ DPR without touching your character's action economy.
Not sure where you read this... to quote dndbeyond:
"If the bag is overloaded, pierced, or torn, it ruptures and is destroyed, and its contents are scattered in the Astral Plane. If the bag is turned inside out, its contents spill forth, unharmed, but the bag must be put right before it can be used again. Breathing creatures inside the bag can survive up to a number of minutes equal to 10 divided by the number of creatures (minimum 1 minute), after which time they begin to suffocate."

It still doesn't kill the character but in fact preserves him alive and not needing food or water on the astral plane. Leaving your enemy alive and brooding is not good for you, he will come back later at some point looking for you.
Its pretty much just a cheap way to get to the astral plane without knowing the spell to do it or the location of a gate.
I'm a fan of the Wildhunt Shifter, Beast Barbarian, because at L5, you can make 3 claw attacks at advantage every turn when raging by reckless attacking, and enemies not only don't get advantage against you from your Reckless Attacks, but they can't get advantage against you by any other means while you're Shifted.

That's actually sick - may use this at some point

Ay, probably true... but minion-type enemies/ any villain without access to magic is going to be hard pushed getting back. Still worth consideration I suppose, hence the 'situational' part of my statement. :)

Not really there are portals to other planes all over the astral plane. So it is just a question of time for them to find one that leads to the right plane.
Arcane Archer X / Genie Daolock <2. Crusher feat needed.
It’s all about the interaction between Grasping Arrow, Genie Dao additional bludgeoning damage, the Crusher feat forced movement and Hex giving STR disadvantage to the target.
I am playing a college of Eloquence Yuan Ti bard at the moment.
Unseteling word, silvery Barb (Fey Touched) and Mind Sliver, And then use Spells with Save or Suck rolls. Ideally with one of the Bars instruments that boost your spell DC or give Disadvantage against Charm Spells.

Well, there are an infinite number of planes, and each plane is infinite is size. So the changes of finding a useful portal is just the tiniest of smidges below infinityXinfinity. It's not great.
And anyways, colorpools are just that - blobs of color. There's no labelling involved.

Blanket disclaimer: I only ever state opinion. But I can sound terribly dogmatic - so if you feel I'm trying to tell you what to think, I'm really not, I swear. I'm telling you what I think, that's all.

Straightforward but powerful, love it!

Nice take. I had intended this thread just for combination ideas, but other opinions are welcome too.

Reread the Artificer bag of holding rulings.
As soon as the bag gets ripped the magic is gone and the contents fall out around the ruined bag.

Alternatively, Necromancer Wizard x Sorcerer-3 to spend every spellslot on Animate Dead...

Into the 2 foot diameter opening?
Ancestral barb + mobile I hadn't heard of before! This + moon druid can be a pretty epic tank, too.
Also you raise a valid point... at most a medium creature, in that case.
