I was thinking 2 levels Hexblade and 18 levels sorcerer. Instead of extra attack I would quicken green flame blade. I was also thinking 5 levels Hexblade 15 levels sorcerer. My goal are to be good in melee and also have as many good fire spells (fireball). What would you recommend.
For the following, I ignore Hexblade's Curse, Hex etc, since they could be used in any of the scenarios.
Hex 2/Draconic Soul (Red) 18 with a 20 CHR would do 3d8 for GFB + d8 Longsword + 5 (Hex Warrior) + 5 Elemental Affinity = 28 average damage on a hit, or 56 if Quickened and both hit. Assume a 60% chance to hit, and you get 33.6 expected damage. You can also cast ninth level spells, you have 18 Sorcery Points to start with, and you have a ton of slots to convert if you need them. You also have wings. If you are caster first, melee second, this is the way to go. But if you are a caster first, there are better Warlock/Sorcerer multiclasses than this.
Hex 5/Draconic Soul (Red) 15 does exactly the same, with fewer spell slots and no access to ninth level spells. You would get a Warlock Pact, which might be interesting but will not materially affect your DPR. You might be thinking Thirsting Blade, but Thirsting Blade is incompatible with Quickening GFB.
Hex 12/Draconic 8 allows you to add Life Drinker for another 5 on a hit, which brings the damage for GFB up to 33 average damage on a hit, 66 if you do it twice, for 39.6 expected damage. Your highest level spell is 6th and limited to the Warlock list, but you have 8 Sorcery Points to start with and a reasonable number of slots that can be converted. If you want to really lean into the melee, this is the way to go. You will be a very limited caster, since you are going to need to use spell slots to fuel your meta magic and melee spells like Shield, Mirror Image, Fire Shield, Armor of Agathys, maybe Hex etc.
To make this work, you would really want to take the Elemental Adept (Fire) Feat, so you can overcome fire resistance (although not immunity). You probably also want Warcaster so you can use GFB or BB on Attacks of Opportunity and so you can still cast Shield and Absorb Elements with your hands full. You will need Quicken, obviously, and probably Transmute, in case you run into something immune to fire.
Edited to add: You cannot Transmute a Quickened spell.
Edited again to add: None of this is as good as Quickening Eldritch Blast, which, with Agonizing Blast, would give you eight beams doing 1d10+5 on a hit, averaging 84 damage if all hit, or 50.4 assuming a 60% chance to hit. That's the price you pay for flavour.
I think it is a cool concept. Imagine a Teifling with wings, Fire Shield, Armor of Agathys, Mirror Image, wearing half plate, shield and longsword, raining down fiery hell.
If you want a fire based sorcerer for this see if yoru DM would be ok with 3rd part content and you could take a look at the Pyromancer from MTG PLaneshift: Kaladesh (link here to free pdf: https://mtg.fandom.com/wiki/Plane_Shift), you can find the pyromancer abilities on page 9. The planeshift settings were made by the Magic the gathering team at WOTC but aren't official content.

You hit the concept on the head if I were to go Hexblade I would only use greenflame blade with warcaster opportunity attacks. I do really like the Hexblade 2/ Sorcerer 18 build because I think it fits the concept the best attacking with flaming sword. I am concerned it will go through resources two fast. Do you think that it will be an issue. I could take metamagic adept to gain more sorcery points.
Just to start, you might want to go Hex 1/Sorcerer 19. You lose the invocations and one pact slot, but you gain a sixth level sorcerer slot, another sorcery point and the ASI that Sorcerers get at 19th.
You are definitely going to be 'burning' through sorcery points at a tremendous rate, if you spend a lot of time in combat twinning GFB. To do it twenty times (5 four round combats) between long rests would be forty sorcery points, which would force you to convert quite a number of spell slots. Assuming you get a Bloodwell Vial, you are going to need to covert 16 levels of spell slots out of a total of 83 for a Hex 1/Sorcerer 19. And that is if you don't use meta magic for anything else.
As for Meta Magic Adept, it would only add two Sorcery Points (one Quicken) and two options to the four you would already have. Whether it is worth one of your five ASIs is something you would have to work out. You're likely to need four already; two to get your CHR to 20, Warcaster and Elemental Adept (Fire).
This is a fun, flavourful build, but not an optimal build.

Green Flame Blade is not eligible for Twin Spell; it's range is Self (5ft) and you can hit more than one target with it.
Could I take eldritch blast, repelling blast, and war-caster. Then I could run up to melee greenflame blade quicken eldritch blast push the enemy 10ft activating warcaster so I can green flame blade again. I would have to take crossbow expert feat though. Is this rulebook legal At level 20 hexblade2/ sorcerer 18 with 20 chr and branding smite with a 4th level slot is 4d10+8d8+4d6+15= on average 87 damage max 143. Assuming everything hits.
No. An Attack of Opportunity is only provoked when your opponent uses their own movement to leave your reach. It doesn't work when you or someone else moves them.

No. Repelling blast counts as forced movement and forced movement doesn't provoke AoO's to proc your Warcaster. As well, quickened eldritch blast is your bonus action in this attack sequence so you'd have to already be concentrating on branding smite.
I can use wrathful smite instead of branding smite. Since they’re frightened for the duration of the spell arms of hadar would let me pull me in for another opportunity attack correct.

No to both. For the same reasons as the last scenario. Plus, even if they entered your threatened range of their own accord, that doesn’t provoke an AoO unless you are using a specific reach weapon with the polearm master feat.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.

Also, if you used EB in melee, you'd had disadvantage on the to-hit roll.

Thanks, yes, sorry I did mean Quicken and not Twin. I hope that was clear from the context through.
