ok guys i am pretty new to dnd beyond. I am playing a human wizard and I understand how to add spells when i level up and learn new spells. However, my character has purchases a few spells and I am not sure how to add them to my spell book. When i go into my manage spells it will not let me add anymore than what is approved for my level. (I am just trying to add to my spell book not prepared spells). I have also received a spell from looting and do not know how to add it either. Any help is appreciated!
the spell in question is a cantrip. it will let me add level 1 and up but not cantrips
Cantrips don't work quite the same as spells - they don't go into the spell book and the Wizard class is limited to knowing the number of cantrips specified on the Wizard Class table.
Thank you! I am just getting use to doing my character sheet and spells online. We have always homebrewed where I could find new cantrip spells but would have to switch out which ones I wanted to use. Thanks again!
