Beautifully crafted and adorned with rare wood embellishments and intricately carved runes, this instrument is held around the musicians neck by an enchanted metal chain that can stretch and retract at the will of whoever holds it. Spanning 18 inches, this instrument takes its base construction from a Dulcimer, however the strings had been removed and replace with a row of 12 small silver ingots of different sizes. 

Striking any one of these ingots ,with the included steel rod attached to the base, creates a different note each time. Some of these notes seem to be imbued with some form of spell or effect, these effects and the corresponding notes are as follows (From left to right):

A: A middle octave A note is played.

B: A middle octave B note is played and an unfortunate side effect of hitting this note is that it has a 30% chance to cause one person within range of hearing this instrument to defecate themselves.

C: A middle octave C note is played and the note resonates as loudly as the player desires. (Not exceeding 110 bD)

D: A middle octave D note is played.

E: A middle octave E note is played and all liquid within 100 feet begins swirling in a clockwise rotation.

F: A middle octave F note is played.

G: A middle octave G note is played.

A: A middle/high octave A note is played and all hair/feathers stand completely on end.

B: A middle/high octave B note is played 

C: A middle/high octave C note is played

D: A middle/high octave D note is played

E: A middle/high octave E note is played

Although it has not been extensively tested by the creator, Bilbar Orlin an elderly gnome enchanter based in the 'Dock ward' of Waterdeep, he seems to think that combinations can be played and new and strange effects can take place.
